About the role: 

This role offers a unique opportunity to join the early product team at a critical stage of growth. You’ll be at the center of product development, helping to shape our roadmap and bring cutting-edge software tools to life. You’ll work across software engineering, data science, machine learning, partnerships, and power systems to deliver products that solve high-impact problems in grid decarbonization and transformation.

How you will make 10x impact:

  • Own the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and execution for our distribution GridAware product and solutions.
  • Build tools that leverage geospatial imagery, sensor networks, and real-time data to provide actionable insights for users who rely on accurate grid models to make asset decisions.
  • Collaborate with engineering, AI/ML, and design teams to translate complex technical use cases into elegant software solutions.
  • Lead customer discovery with utilities, regulators, energy developers, and key partners to deeply understand workflows, pain points, and value creation. Demonstrate exceptional qualitative and quantitative communication.
  • You are masterful at articulating the product roadmap and outcomes to technical and non-technical audiences, both internally and externally, and you weave in metrics and validation.
  • Champion customer needs, system integrity, and usability throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Develop clear, concise product documentation and evangelize the product vision across the organization.
  • Build with intention and empathy, creating tools that inspire confidence, delight end users, and serve as trusted assets in mission-critical environments.
  • Take pride in delivering products that resonate with users and earn recognition from stakeholders, reinforcing our position as a leader in utility innovation.

Who You Are:

  • An experienced product leader with deep energy domain knowledge, particularly in distribution power systems.
  • Deeply customer-oriented, with a strong understanding of utility workflows, regulatory frameworks, and high-stakes operational needs. You are committed to delivering tools that not only meet functional requirements but also bring clarity, delight, and value to users and stakeholders alike
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and building products from zero to one in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experienced in cross-disciplinary collaboration across software, AI/ML, and power systems.
  • Customer-obsessed and grounded in utility workflows, regulatory requirements, and mission-critical operations.
  • Passionate about climate, electrification, and the modernization of infrastructure.
  • A strong communicator who can represent the product to both internal and external audiences.
  • Ideally, you have startup or small-team experience and thrive in high-ownership environments.

What you should have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a related technical field.
  • 8+ years of product management experience, including at least 2–3 years in energy or grid software.
  • Proven success building and shipping software products for distribution grid applications.
  • Experience working with enterprise customers, particularly utilities or grid operators.
  • Familiarity with geospatial tools such as ArcGIS or QGIS and telemetry or asset data systems.
  • Exposure to AI/ML technologies, SaaS platforms, and compliance-aware product development.

Nice to Haves

  • Background in energy consulting, utility operations, or energy software delivery.
  • Experience working at the intersection of software and physical infrastructure.
  • Prior success in productizing research or innovation-stage prototypes.
  • Writing samples or public-facing documentation that demonstrate clarity and technical fluency.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $151,000 - $235,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
