Ready to be pushed beyond what you think you’re capable of?

At Coinbase, our mission is to increase economic freedom in the world. It’s a massive, ambitious opportunity that demands the best of us, every day, as we build the emerging onchain platform — and with it, the future global financial system.

To achieve our mission, we’re seeking a very specific candidate. We want someone who is passionate about our mission and who believes in the power of crypto and blockchain technology to update the financial system. We want someone who is eager to leave their mark on the world, who relishes the pressure and privilege of working with high caliber colleagues, and who actively seeks feedback to keep leveling up. We want someone who will run towards, not away from, solving the company’s hardest problems.

Our work culture is intense and isn’t for everyone. But if you want to build the future alongside others who excel in their disciplines and expect the same from you, there’s no better place to be.

While many roles at Coinbase are remote-first, we are not remote-only. In-person participation is required throughout the year. Team and company-wide offsites are held multiple times annually to foster collaboration, connection, and alignment. Attendance is expected and fully supported.

The Institutional Staking team at Coinbase is building the most trusted and scalable staking platform for institutions. We enable asset managers, financial institutions, and crypto-native funds to participate in onchain networks and earn rewards through secure, compliant, and high-performing staking infrastructure. As a Product Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of defining the next generation of institutional staking products—balancing client experience, protocol dynamics, and enterprise-grade infrastructure. This is a highly strategic role with direct exposure to our largest clients and close collaboration with engineering, design, protocol specialists, sales, and legal teams.

What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):

  • Own the product strategy and roadmap for key staking features, protocols support, and reporting tailored for institutional clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver compliant, scalable, and performant staking solutions across multiple chains
  • Engage directly with institutional clients—such as asset managers, financial institutions and crypto natives—to gather feedback, validate product direction, and ensure we’re meeting the highest bar for security, ease of use, and operational excellence.
  • Define and manage metrics to guide product prioritization and measure success.
  • Generate excitement around a shared vision and align teams to successfully realize.
  • Clearly articulate plans and progress internally to key partners and executive leadership, and communicate product functionality to clients

What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):

  • 2+ years of product management experience with a track record of building enterprise or B2B crypto products.
  • Proven track record of successfully shipping and iterating on products at scale
  • Understanding of staking mechanisms and blockchain protocols
  • Strong client orientation—you enjoy talking to customers, understanding their needs, and solving real-world institutional pain points through elegant product solutions.
  • Exceptional communication, relationship management, and organizational skills.
  • Deep analytical, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities, coupled with the capacity to work effectively with incomplete or ambiguous information
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.  Desire for continuous improvement.
  • Strong interest in cryptocurrency, financial markets and the Coinbase mission

Nice to haves:

  • Prior experience working in institutional staking, crypto, or custody
  • Familiarity with reporting and regulatory considerations for staking, including qualified custody and reporting standards.
  • Experience working closely with protocol teams, or participating in staking-related ecosystems like Ethereum, Solana
