In Human Resources, we collaborate with the innovators who drive EchoStar's creative ambition. Our mission is to transform HR technology tools and create a world-class employee experience. This team is responsible for managing and optimizing our critical HR Applications, driving positive change for the company and our team members.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

As a Product Manager within the HR organization, you will serve as a key individual contributor responsible for the functional performance and delivery of various HR technology products. You will bridge the gap between HR business processes and technical execution, with a specific focus on optimizing core HR application modules—such as performance management systems, employee self-service portals, and digital document workflows—that integrate with our primary HRIS platforms like Workday/Oracle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of the HR Technology roadmap by identifying functional gaps and recommending feature enhancements based on user feedback
  • Ensure that all product activities and backlog items remain strictly aligned with the established long-term vision
  • Work within a ticketing system to prioritize enhancement requests
  • Translate user needs into clear technical specifications, such as defining workflow logic for a new leave-of-absence module or benefits enrollment screen
  • Direct the functional configuration and feature-level delivery of assigned HR applications
  • Partner with the PMO to ensure these functional milestones align with the overarching project schedule
  • Act as a primary point of contact for HR stakeholders, gathering requirements for feature enhancements and managing their implementation
  • Maintain a deep functional understanding of system configurations and integration points to ensure products meet business requirements
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) based on clear "Pass/Fail" criteria to ensure software releases match defined specifications
  • Manage day-to-day interactions with technology vendors, including tracking support tickets and standard feature requests
  • Monitor and report on product adoption metrics to track employee engagement with new features
  • Successfully pivot between different HR applications as business needs shift, quickly gaining subject matter expertise in new tools

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in technical support, configuration, or a product-related role
  • Experience with HCM platforms (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors) and managing digital HR workflows preferred
  • Proven experience working in both Agile and Traditional (Waterfall) project environments

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple technical issues simultaneously
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of explaining technical issues to non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team in a fast-paced, enterprise environment
  • Understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) regarding sensitive employee data
