Why Join AngelList

We’re solving some of the hardest problems in venture capital and private markets. You’ll work with a team that values precision, urgency, and long-term thinking. If you want to shape how startups are funded and built, this is the place.

About AngelList

We exist to accelerate innovation by increasing the number of successful startups in the world. We do this by building the financial infrastructure that makes it easier for more people to invest in world-changing companies.

AngelList is the nexus of venture capital and the startup community. We support $171B+ in assets and have powered investments into over 13,000 startups—over 300 of which are unicorns. Today, 57% of top-tier U.S. VC deals involve investors on AngelList. While our scale is large, our ambition is larger.

If you're excited to build the future of private markets, come build with us.

About the Role:
Built for the growing class of self-directed investors who want direct access to private market opportunities, Meridian is AngelList's wealth platform for private markets. Extending more than a decade of AngelList infrastructure, Meridian is the opportunity to serve investors directly. The product is early, and this role will shape the next generation of products for private market investing.
As the Founding Product Manager, you'll own core investor-facing product areas end-to-end — from onboarding and investing to portfolio insights and reporting. You'll work from first principles to define the modern wealth platform for private markets, turning customer insight, data, and regulatory constraints into elegant, high-trust experiences in a fast-moving, regulated space.
This is a senior IC role for someone who wants to build the product, not direct a team that builds it. If you've owned a complex, customer-facing product line end-to-end and want the next one to define a category, keep reading.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Own major product surfaces across investing and portfolio management, shaping Meridian
  • Build new products on top of AngelList's infra, with major distribution advantages
  • Run your own customer research and turn signal into sharp, opinionated decisions
  • Partner tightly with design from concept to prototype to shipping
  • Drive clarity in ambiguous, regulated problem spaces
  • Partner directly with the GM to shape product strategy

What we're looking for:

  • You've owned a customer-facing product line end-to-end as the primary PM.
  • 0→1 product experience, driving external customer-facing product surfaces end-to-end.
  • Strong design partnership and product taste.
  • Genuine interest and fluency in private markets.
  • Experience building in partnership with legal, navigating firm guardrails.
  • High agency and urgency, ruthless prioritization, and a bias toward thoughtful execution.
  • Builder mindset, energized to get in the weeds.

Working Here

If you don’t meet every requirement above, we still encourage you to apply. We value complementary strengths and operators who learn by doing.

Compensation:

The base salary for this role is $200,000+ annually but actual will vary based on a number of factors including a candidate’s professional background, experience, and location. What you need to know about the San Francisco Tech Scene

San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area attracts more startup funding than any other region in the world. Home to Stanford University and UC Berkeley, leading VC firms and several of the world’s most valuable companies, the Bay Area is the place to go for anyone looking to make it big in the tech industry. That said, San Francisco has a lot to offer beyond technology thanks to a thriving art and music scene, excellent food and a short drive to several of the country’s most beautiful recreational areas.

Key Facts About San Francisco Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 365,500; 13.9% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins
  • Research Centers and Universities: Stanford University; University of California, Berkeley; University of San Francisco; Santa Clara University; Ames Research Center; Center for AI Safety; California Institute for Regenerative Medicine
