As a Product Manager, you'll manage the product roadmap and Go-To-Market strategies, maximize team output, analyze data for opportunities, and communicate customer needs across departments.

We are seeking a strategic, technically fluent Product Manager to join the MeridianLink Mortgage product team — the team behind our mortgage lending origination platform. In this role, you will own a defined area of the mortgage lending experience, partnering closely with engineering, design, and go-to-market teams to deliver high-impact improvements that matter to the financial institutions and borrowers we serve.

MeridianLink Mortgage is a complex, deeply integrated platform with a large and growing customer base. The PM team works collaboratively across product areas — from origination workflows and loan pricing/decisioning to API integrations and digital borrower experiences. You will contribute meaningfully to team strategy while driving focused execution within your domain.

We want someone who brings strong product instincts, a genuine curiosity about financial technology, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional environment. Experience with API-integrated platforms and a passion for using modern technology — including AI/ML and real-time data — to improve lending experiences will set you apart.

Responsibilities:

Discovery & Product Delivery

• Own the roadmap for your product area within MeridianLink Mortgage, from discovery through delivery and iteration.

• Lead continuous discovery through customer interviews, usage analytics, and collaboration with financial institution partners to identify high-value problems worth solving.

• Write crisp, well-reasoned PRDs and user stories that give engineering teams the clarity they need to build with confidence.

• Drive agile delivery ceremonies and maintain a healthy, well-prioritized backlog aligned to team OKRs.

• Define and monitor product KPIs for your area, using data to inform prioritization and demonstrate business impact.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with fellow PMs on the Mortgage team to ensure coherence across product areas and alignment on platform-level decisions.

• Partner with Engineering, UX, Sales, Customer Success, and Compliance to drive alignment and unblock delivery.

• Serve as the product expert for your domain — representing customer needs internally and translating them into clear requirements.

• Contribute to team-level strategy discussions and help shape the broader Mortgage product roadmap over time.

Innovation & Domain Expertise

• Identify opportunities to incorporate modern capabilities — such as AI/ML-assisted decisioning, intelligent automation, and API extensibility — into your product area.

• Stay current on mortgage lending trends, fintech competitive dynamics, and regulatory developments (CFPB, TILA, ECOA, fair lending) relevant to your domain.

• Champion thoughtful UX and API-first design patterns that keep MeridianLink Mortgage competitive with emerging fintech challengers.

Qualifications:

Required

• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant product management experience.

• Proven track record of owning a product area end-to-end — discovery, definition, delivery, and iteration.

• Experience managing API-integrated software products with multiple stakeholder groups.

• Strong command of agile methodologies and modern product discovery practices (Jobs-to-Be-Done, continuous discovery, etc.).

• Analytical mindset — comfortable using data and product analytics tools to drive decisions and measure outcomes.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to simplify complexity and align diverse stakeholders.

• Deep customer empathy — you've invested real time understanding users and translated those insights into shipped improvements.

Strongly Preferred

• Domain experience in mortgage lending, loan origination systems (LOS), or financial institution software.

• Familiarity with API/integration products — you understand developer needs and how platform extensibility creates value.

• Exposure to AI/ML in product contexts — you've thought carefully about where intelligent automation adds genuine value vs. hype.

• Experience working with or selling to banks, credit unions, or other regulated financial institutions.

• Working knowledge of consumer lending regulations (TILA, ECOA, fair lending, CFPB guidance).
