Beacon Software is a permanent capital holding company which acquires and grows essential businesses. We are a profitable series B+ firm that combines great technologists, operators and M&A professionals to accelerate the scale of the ambition of the dozens of businesses we own and operate. We are supported by capital from tier-1 venture capital, crossover, and endowment investors as well as the founders of the leading technology companies from the past decade.

We are growing our team in Toronto, San Francisco, and New York. Apply below.

Product Manager, Pricing & Monetization

You’ll be joining Beacon’s Acceleration team, a cross-functional group of Product Managers, Engineers, Designers, GTM experts, and Product Analysts. We work closely with portfolio companies to solve problems, create and implement playbooks, and build new features and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead pricing transformation projects for newly acquired companies - conduct customer discovery, build financial models, design new pricing strategies, and create implementation roadmaps (e.g., perpetual-to-SaaS migrations, usage-based pricing, tier restructuring)
  • Drive payment infrastructure migration projects across portfolio companies - scope technical requirements, build business cases, coordinate with engineering teams and payment providers, and manage implementation through to launch
  • Identify and execute pricing optimizations across existing portfolio companies - audit current monetization approaches, spot quick wins, and implement improvements
  • Build institutional knowledge - develop reusable playbooks and frameworks for pricing and payment projects that can scale across Beacon's growing portfolio
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years in product management, pricing strategy, or revenue operations at B2B SaaS companies
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills - you're comfortable building financial models, analyzing customer data, and turning numbers into insights
  • Experience conducting customer discovery and translating qualitative insights into recommendations
  • Technical fluency to work effectively with engineers on payment systems and integrations (you don't need to code, but you need to understand APIs, complexity, and trade-offs)
  • Thrives in ambiguity and can self-direct without a predefined roadmap
Nice to have
  • Prior experience with pricing transformations or payment infrastructure projects
This role is perfect for you if
  • You are an ex-founder and/or want to start your own B2B SaaS company one day.
  • You want to join a profitable, fast-growing startup.
  • You want to learn about interesting verticals and markets.
  • You are commercially-minded.
  • You are curious about the world of private equity, rollups, and AI.

Our Values at Beacon Software

  • Humility: We acknowledge that the path to getting to the right answer involves being wrong along the way. We have strong beliefs which are weakly held. We actively seek new ideas and believe we can learn from anyone at any time.
  • Honesty: We are truth seeking in our approach to business problems. Business is a repeat game and we believe that human relationships generate alpha. We understand that trust is earned over a lifetime and can be lost in an instant.
  • Hunger: We play to win. We hold ourselves to high standards and will not be outworked. We take pride in having a deep sense of responsibility to ourselves, each other, our partners, and our customers. We believe to whom much is given much is expected.
  • Horizon: We seek to build a generational software company. This will take decades. We manage our expectations and those of our partners to take advantage of the 8th wonder of the world - compounding growth.

San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area attracts more startup funding than any other region in the world. Home to Stanford University and UC Berkeley, leading VC firms and several of the world’s most valuable companies, the Bay Area is the place to go for anyone looking to make it big in the tech industry. • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta

  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
