We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Manager to help shape and improve FMX’s products. The ideal candidate will work with customers and teammates to understand their needs, decide what to build next, and guide changes from early ideas through launch and follow-up.

The Product Manager will support an outcome-based approach to building product by tying roadmap decisions to clear goals, such as product adoption or revenue growth, without losing sight of concrete customer problems. The role requires deeply understanding current customer usage and pain points by learning where users encounter friction in FMX. This foundational knowledge is used to define clear, prioritized problems and foster close collaboration with design and engineering teams to develop, launch, and enable new features that deliver measurable value and drive user satisfaction. Success involves accurately estimating and measuring the impact of each feature launch against the original desired outcomes to continuously inform and refine the product roadmap.

Responsibilities:

As the Product Manager, you will:

  • Maintain a clear, prioritized list of problems and improvements for your focus areas.
  • Describe problems in simple, concrete language so anyone on the team can understand them.
  • Talk regularly with customers and internal teams (Marketing, Sales, Customer Success) to learn what is working, what is not, and why.
  • Turn what is learned into specific opportunities with targeted outcomes, not just feature ideas.
  • Work with design and engineering to break problems into small, testable changes that can be delivered quickly.
  • Write clear, practical requirements so engineers and designers know what to build and how it should behave.
  • Enable go-to-market teams with the knowledge and language they need to bring about a successful launch.
  • Review the impact of released work and plan for follow-up changes when needed.

Requirements

What are we looking for in this role?:

  • 2–5 years experience of product management or closely related experience.
  • Comfort with Modern Tools: Actively embraces AI and other productivity tools in day-to-day work to maximize speed and improve decision-making.
  • Clear, Simple Thinking: Ability to synthesize complex situations into a small number of specific, solvable problems.
  • Customer Curiosity: Enjoys engaging with customers, asking probing follow-up questions, and digging into the underlying "why" behind their feedback.
  • Bias for Action: Comfortable making sound decisions with imperfect information and proactively moving work forward.
  • Comfort with Data: Utilizes both quantitative data (numbers) and qualitative insights (stories) to understand problems and accurately assess the impact of changes.
  • Strong Communication: Writes and speaks clearly, avoids unnecessary jargon, and effectively keeps stakeholders aligned on project status and rationale.
  • Collaborative Working Style: Enjoys and excels at working closely with design, engineering, and customer-facing teams to solve problems jointly.
  • Structured Problem Solving: Approaches issues step-by-step and proposes focused, realistic, and implementable solutions.
  • A match with our core pillars: Teamwork, Excellence and Integrity.

The hiring process for this role:

  • Apply! Submit your resume and answers to the application questions via the Workable portal.
  • Phone screen with PeopleOps: A 30-minute conversation to review your background and experiences, discuss the culture at FMX, and ensure that you understand the general expectations for the role. Also, a great time for you to ask questions about compensation, benefits, etc.
  • Hiring manager conversation: A 60-minute conversation with the hiring team. Be prepared to discuss your background as well as what you’re looking for in your next role and what direction you see your career path taking. Also, this is a great time for you to ask questions about the expectations for this role, team culture, etc.
  • Take Home Assessment: Selected candidates will complete a brief at-home assessment as part of the hiring process.

  • Offer & Onboarding: Candidates who receive an offer will be required to complete a background check prior to onboarding. New hires are also expected to work onsite at our Columbus, OH office during their first week to complete onboarding and connect with the team in person.
