Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Product Manager, Data & Analytics, to join our team within Operations & Technology. In this role you will be responsible for defining and delivering data products, using standard AI technology, power marketing and viewership insights using measurement data. This role involves owning the product vision, roadmap, and execution of analytics solutions that enable business stakeholders to understand audience performance, content performance, promo effectiveness, and competitive positioning across linear, digital, and cross-platform ecosystems.
The Product Manager partners closely with Data Engineering, Analytics, Research, and Business stakeholders to ensure data is accurate, scalable, well-governed, and translated into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Ownership
- Own and drive the product vision and roadmap for multiple data products
- Translate business needs into clear product requirements, user stories, and prioritized backlogs.
- Drive alignment between business objectives and enterprise data strategy.
- Ensure accurate ingestion, transformation, and data modeling across enterprise analytics platforms.
- Partner with Research and Analytics teams to ensure methodologies, calculations, and metrics align with industry standards and business expectations.
- Identify opportunities to apply AI, automation, and agent-based solutions to improve insight generation and operational efficiency
Data Quality, Governance & Compliance
• Establish and enforce data quality standards, validation rules, and reconciliation processes.
• Collaborate with Data Governance teams on metadata, data dictionaries, semantic layers, and data mesh registration.
Delivery & Execution
• Work closely with Data Engineering and Platform teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and performant analytics solutions.
• Own acceptance criteria and validate delivered features against business and data quality requirements.
• Proactively manage risks related to data changes, vendor updates, and metric deprecations.
• Communicate product roadmap, progress, and impact to executive and senior leadership.
Stakeholder Engagement
• Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders across Analytics, Research, Ad Sales, Programming, and Marketing.
• Drive adoption by ensuring products are intuitive, well-documented, and aligned to user workflows.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Analytics or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
• 5+ years of experience in product management, with at least 2 years owning data or analytics products.
• Proven ability to translate complex data and measurement concepts into clear product requirements.
• Advanced technical, quantitative, analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with modern data platforms and technologies (cloud data warehouses, BI tools, semantic layers, AI).
• Working knowledge of SQL to validate data, metrics, and analytical outputs.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with media, entertainment, or advertising analytics.
• Familiarity with cross-platform measurement (linear, digital, streaming).
• Hands-on experience with Nielsen viewership and measurement data.
• Experience supporting or building AI-driven analytics solutions or agents.
• Up-to-date knowledge of emerging AI, LLM, machine learning technologies, and relevant vendor ecosystems.
• Experience operating in Agile product delivery environments.
• Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and enterprise analytics best practices.
• Experience with product and delivery tools like Jira and Confluence.
This position has been designated as fully remote, meaning that the position is expected to contribute from a non-NBCUniversal worksite, most commonly an employee's residence.
