As a Product Manager at Gem, you will own one of Gem’s top line product areas end-to-end:
- Set the vision, strategy, and roadmap for a major product area, making tradeoffs across customer impact, technical constraints, and long-term company strategy.
- Meet with customers regularly and deeply understand the market.
- Own product outcomes through metrics, customer feedback, and rapid iteration.
- Partner with Gem’s GTM team to bring your products to market.
AI Sourcing and AI Application Review are Gem’s newest and fastest growing products. Built from the ground up on a modern LLM architecture, they deliver significantly more accurate search results and allow recruiters to prioritize inbound applications.
- Shape the future of agentic AI recruiting.
- Own search, retrieval, and AI-driven discovery experiences at scale.
- Work with a team of 10+ engineers, partnering closely with a dedicated engineering manager and product designer.
- Partner with Marketing to establish Gem as a thought leader in AI Recruiting.
- Work with Gem’s AI Governance Group to innovate and build ethical AI products.
Gem ATS
Launched two years ago, Gem’s Applicant Tracking System is now the hiring source of truth for hundreds of paying customers.
- Bring end-to-end AI workflows to a massive product category full of legacy products.
- Balance the roadmap across Gem’s entire spectrum of customers: from Gem’s PLGs startup program all the way up to our leading Enterprise Design Partners.
- Work with a team of 10+ engineers, partnering closely with a dedicated engineering manager and product designer.
- Partner closely with Design, Success, and Support to build intuitive user experiences for complex workflows.
- Work with Partnerships to establish Gem ATS as the leading ecosystem in the recruiting space.
About You
- 5-10 years of experience as a product manager, building and owning world-class tech products.
- On top of the latest in AI and using AI in your daily workflows.
- Strong product taste and obsession about user experience.
- Comfort in partnering deeply with engineers on technical tradeoffs that materially affect product quality and outcomes.
- A track record of setting product strategy and direction, not just executing predefined roadmaps.
- (Bonus) Experience building AI-powered products, especially in search, retrieval, ranking, or content discovery.
Role Details
- Location: This role is based 3 days per week out of our San Francisco HQ and is not eligible for full-time remote work.
- Compensation: The annual cash compensation range for this position is $220,000–$250,000 based on level in addition to equity & benefits.
