Job Summary:

The Product Manager is responsible for defining, delivering, and continuously improving healthcare technology products that support clinical, operational, and patient outcomes. Working within an Agile development framework, this role collaborates closely with engineering, design, clinical stakeholders, and business teams to translate healthcare needs into scalable, compliant, and user-centered digital solutions.

The Product Manager owns the product roadmap, prioritizes features, and ensures that product development aligns with regulatory requirements, market needs, and organizational strategy.


Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

Product Strategy & Vision

  • Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for healthcare technology solutions.
  • Identify market opportunities and user needs through research, analytics, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Align product goals with organizational objectives and healthcare industry trends.

Agile Product Ownership

  • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog in collaboration with Agile development teams.
  • Write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and product requirements.
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Balance short-term sprint deliverables with long-term product strategy.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work with clinicians, healthcare administrators, compliance teams, and customers to gather requirements and validate product features.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers and engineering teams to deliver intuitive, high-quality solutions.
  • Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the development team.

Regulatory & Compliance Awareness

  • Ensure products comply with healthcare regulations and standards (e.g., HIPAA, interoperability standards, data security).
  • Partner with legal, compliance, and security teams to manage risk and protect patient data.

Product Delivery & Lifecycle Management

  • Guide products from concept through development, launch, and ongoing optimization.
  • Track product performance using metrics such as adoption, usability, clinical impact, and NPS.
  • Prioritize improvements based on data, customer feedback, and strategic goals.

Market & User Insight

  • Conduct user interviews, competitive analysis, market research and establish appropriate advisory boards.
  • Translate clinical workflows and healthcare processes into effective digital solutions.
  • Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 4–7 years of product management experience in healthcare or health technology.
  • Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments.
  • Strong ability to translate complex healthcare workflows into product requirements.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • A passion for driving product excellence to delight users.
  • A history of continual focus on the user and the jobs to be done.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR), digital health platforms, or clinical software.
  • Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards (e.g., FHIR, HL7).
  • Certification in Agile/Scrum (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner).
  • Background working with clinical teams or healthcare operations.
  • Experience with healthcare data analytics or AI-enabled healthcare products.

Working Conditions

  1. Essential physical requirements include sitting, typing, standing, and walking.
  2. Lightly active position, occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
  3. Reporting to work, as scheduled, is essential.
  4. Remote work arrangement.
  5. Occasional travel up to 20 % required to clinics and corporate offices for product launches, training, deployments, and stakeholder engagement.
