The Opportunity

Higher education is in the middle of a staffing crisis. Enrollment teams are smaller than ever, budgets are flat, and students expect instant, personalized communication. Element451 is solving this with AI agents that can recruit, advise, and support students 24/7 — across chat, SMS, voice, and search.

We're looking for a Product Manager to own our most complex and valuable agent surface area:

  • Bolt Agents: Proactive, omnichannel student support agents

  • Bolt Copilot: A powerful agent for staff using the platform to get work done

These features represent the backbone of our agentic platform, and our vision for them is vast. You will turn that vision into reality, reporting directly to the CPO. You will iterate, innovate, and drive adoption, rapidly evolving our product to stay ahead of the market.

If you live and breathe agentic AI and want to apply it to a problem that actually matters, this is the role for you.

Who You Are

You've built conversational AI products. Not just managed them — built them. You understand context management, tool use, orchestration, guardrails, and evaluation. You've shipped agents to productions and learned hard lessons about what makes them good.

You're a builder. You prototype with LLMs, you test your own product obsessively, and you have strong opinions formed by doing the work, not just reading about it. AI agents are your thing — you follow model releases, agent frameworks, and the MCP ecosystem because you can't help it.

You're customer-obsessed. You get energy from talking to users, watching session replays, reading support tickets. You translate messy real-world feedback into clear product direction.

You communicate clearly. You write well, present confidently, and can align engineering, design, sales, and executive leadership around a shared vision.

Nice-to-Have
  • Experience in EdTech or higher education

  • Product Management experience – if you build agents but have never acted as a PM, we still want to hear from you.

  • Vertical SaaS background where domain expertise is a differentiator

  • CRM or student engagement platform experience

Why Element451

We're the AI student experience platform for higher education. Hundreds of colleges and universities use us to recruit, admit, enroll, and retain students.

The product team is small, high-leverage, and moves fast. You'll work directly with the CPO, engineering leads, and cross-functional partners. No layers, no politics — just good product work on a problem that matters.

We’re driven by our values!
  • Impactful, not Immediate – We prioritize meaningful, long-term outcomes.

  • 401(k) with 4% employer match

  • Modern tech + opportunity to work with AI-driven tools

  • Fast-moving, mission-driven culture

  • High-impact work that improves access to higher education

San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area attracts more startup funding than any other region in the world. Home to Stanford University and UC Berkeley, leading VC firms and several of the world’s most valuable companies, the Bay Area is the place to go for anyone looking to make it big in the tech industry. • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
