The Opportunity

Education has been Grammarly’s passion since our founding. Ensuring students have the tools they need to be successful is in our DNA. We are looking for a strategic Product Marketing Lead to drive the growth in our Education segment. As PMM for this vertical, you will play a critical role in shaping how Grammarly supports learning outcomes in colleges and universities. Through your deep customer understanding, you’ll partner with Product to define opportunities for expansion and the product requirements to win. You’ll drive the positioning and GTM for how Grammarly can help Colleges and universities drive student success and also accelerate their institutional goals. In a time of increased focus on the role of AI in Education, this role is a unique opportunity to position Grammarly as a key solution for institutions seeking a more practical, responsible AI implementation. 

In this role, you will: 

  • Own the strategy for Grammarly’s  Education segment, including market segmentation, value propositions, messaging, and positioning.
  • Deeply understand the needs of administrators, faculty, and students in higher education institutions through research, interviews, and competitive analysis.
  • Define and drive launch strategies for new features or updates relevant to academic institutions and the end-users they serve.
  • Enable sales and customer success with compelling content, collateral, and training that clearly articulate the value of Grammarly for Higher Ed and empowers more effective institutional selling motions.
  • Partner with demand generation and content teams to develop campaigns, case studies, and webinars targeting higher education decision-makers.
  • Gather market feedback to influence product roadmap decisions and inform future development.
  • Measure and report on marketing effectiveness across awareness, acquisition, and adoption in the Higher Education segment.
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in product marketing, ideally with experience in B2B SaaS, edtech, or selling into the education sector.
  • Proven success in building and executing GTM strategies and positioning.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to deliver a strong point-of-view and decision-making recommendations to internal leaders, backed by data and an understanding of the education market 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored to different audiences (administrators, faculty, IT, students).
  • Experience creating high-impact sales enablement and customer education materials.
  • Analytical mindset with comfort in using data to drive decisions and iterate strategy.
  • Passion for education and Grammarly’s mission to improve communication.
  • Has a demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal guidance, proactively manages tasks and priorities across multiple projects, analyzes and executes work efficiently, collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams, and thrives in fast-paced, results-driven environments.

Bonus points for: 

  • Familiarity with procurement and decision-making processes in higher education.
  • Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS), EdTech tools, or accessibility platforms.
  • Background in instructional design or understanding of pedagogical frameworks
Compensation and Benefits

Grammarly takes a market-based approach to compensation, which means base pay may vary depending on your location. 

Base pay may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The expected salary ranges for this position are outlined below by compensation zone and may be modified in the future.

Zone 1: $165,000- $195,000/year (USD)
