Job Description

Mirantis is looking for a Product Marketing Manager who is equal parts storyteller, strategist, and practitioner, someone who has spent enough time in the Kubernetes and cloud-native trenches to earn credibility with engineers, but who also knows how to translate that depth into pipeline-driving content and crisp sales enablement.

This is the core platform marketing role on our team. You'll own the go-to-market narrative and content engine for Mirantis' enterprise platform portfolio: k0rdent AI Enterprise Edition, Mirantis Kubernetes Engine (MKE), Mirantis OpenStack for Kubernetes (MOSK), Mirantis Container Runtime (MCR), Mirantis Secure Registry (MSR), and related solutions. These products serve some of the world's most demanding infrastructure teams, including roughly a third of the Fortune 100, and your job is to make sure buyers understand why Mirantis is the right partner for their most critical workloads.

You'll work closely with product management, solution architects, sales, and demand generation to build the content, messaging, and field tools that accelerate deals and deepen customer relationships. This is a high-ownership, high-visibility individual contributor role with real impact on revenue.

What You'll Own

Positioning & Messaging

  • Develop and maintain audience-specific messaging frameworks for MKE, MOSK, MCR, MSR, and k0rdent AI Enterprise Edition, from practitioner-level technical narratives to C-suite value propositions.

  • Articulate how Mirantis' open, vendor-neutral philosophy differentiates us from Red Hat OpenShift, VMware Tanzu, Rancher/SUSE, and cloud-native offerings from the hyperscalers.

  • Map messaging to buyer personas: platform engineers, infrastructure architects, DevOps leads, and IT decision-makers.

Sales Enablement

  • Build and maintain the field-ready asset library: pitch decks, deep dive decks, battlecards, objection-handling guides, competitive one-pagers, ROI frameworks, and conversation guides.

  • Run regular sales enablement sessions to train the field on new messaging, competitive developments, and product launches.

  • Partner directly with pre-sales and solution architects to capture field learnings and sharpen positioning.

Content Creation

  • Own a steady, high-quality content cadence: solution briefs, white papers, technical blog posts, case studies, reference architectures, demo scripts, and competitive comparisons.

  • Produce content that works across the funnel and that practitioners actually want to read.

  • Translate complex Kubernetes, container runtime, and virtualization capabilities into clear narratives without dumbing them down.

Competitive Intelligence

  • Track competitors across the enterprise container, virtualization, and cloud-native platform space: Red Hat, VMware/Broadcom, Rancher/SUSE, Canonical, and others.

  • Produce timely battlecards, win/loss analyses, and competitive updates that keep the sales team confident in tough conversations.

Product Launches & Campaigns

  • Own go-to-market planning for product releases: launch kits, internal training, external announcements, and coordinated campaign assets.

  • Partner with demand generation on assets aligned to key personas — webinar content, landing pages, emails, and nurture materials.

Market & Ecosystem Awareness

  • Monitor trends in enterprise Kubernetes, container security, cloud-native virtualization, and open-source infrastructure to surface insights that sharpen GTM strategy.

  • Contribute to analyst and media briefings; help maintain Mirantis' presence in industry reports (Gartner, Omdia, IDC, and others).

Qualifications

Required

  • 5–8 years of experience in product marketing, technical marketing, or solutions marketing within the enterprise infrastructure, cloud-native, or DevOps space.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Kubernetes, not just awareness. You should be able to discuss cluster lifecycle management, container runtimes, image registries, Helm, operators, and multi-cluster topologies credibly with an engineer.

  • A strong portfolio. We will ask to see published work (blog posts, white papers, solution briefs, battlecards, sales decks) and will evaluate writing quality, technical accuracy, and narrative clarity.

  • Proven experience building and delivering sales enablement programs, not just creating assets, but also running trainings and iterating based on field feedback.

  • Solid competitive analysis skills with experience profiling platforms like Red Hat OpenShift, VMware Tanzu, Rancher/SUSE, or similar.

  • Excellent writing/editing skills across formats and audiences: you can create a technically precise white paper and a crisp executive summary on the same topic without heavy editing support.

  • Comfort working cross-functionally in a fast-moving, distributed environment with a high degree of autonomy.

Nice to Have

  • Hands-on experience running Kubernetes in any capacity: personal projects, a past engineering or DevOps role, etc.

  • Familiarity with OpenStack, virtualization-on-Kubernetes, or bare-metal infrastructure.

  • Experience with container runtimes or image registry concepts.

  • Exposure to enterprise sales cycles and the field dynamics of selling infrastructure software to large organizations.

Who You Are

You think like an engineer, write like a journalist, and move like a marketer. You're genuinely interested in how Kubernetes works under the hood and can sit down with a product manager or solution architect, ask the right questions, and walk away with enough to build a compelling narrative. You default to clarity over jargon, ship content and iterate rather than waiting for perfection, and you treat the sales team as your best source of market intelligence.

You thrive in an environment where you own your domain. You know how to build a messaging framework from scratch, conduct a thorough competitive analysis, and structure a sales enablement session that leaves reps with something they'll actually use.
