Own positioning, messaging, sales enablement, market intelligence, go-to-market execution, and customer storytelling for commercial and industrial distributed energy solutions. Translate complex DER offerings, energy market dynamics, and customer performance data into compelling value propositions, launch materials, ROI tools, case studies, and narratives that support acquisition, retention, and stakeholder alignment.
The summary above was generated by AI

Voltus is the leading platform connecting distributed energy resources to electricity markets, delivering less expensive, more reliable, and more sustainable electricity. Our commercial and industrial customers, along with our residential and grid services partners generate cash by allowing Voltus to maximize the value of their flexible load, distributed generation, energy storage, energy efficiency, and electric vehicle resources in these markets. Our product - developed to help solve the greatest problem of our time, the climate crisis - is tested and proven, and we have moved from startup to significant (and rapid) growth stage. At Voltus, we live by the mantra “doing well by doing good” - and that includes actively doing our best by our team, clients and partners. Our aspiration is to be a leader in increasing diversity within the energy industry, and that starts with a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion within our organization.

We are seeking a Product Marketing Manager to own the positioning, messaging, and market-facing enablement for our Commercial & Industrial (C&I) distributed energy solutions. Example products in this solution set include: our emergency load response program (ELRP) offering in PJM, and our LMR offering in MISO.  Sitting at the intersection of product, sales, and energy market dynamics, you will translate complex, market-connected Distributed Energy Resource (DER) offerings into clear, high-converting narratives that drive customer understanding, acquisition and retention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Positioning & Messaging: Develop value propositions, core messaging frameworks, and solution narratives tailored to C&I facility managers, enterprise sustainability leads, and finance teams

  • Sales & Client Success Enablement: Partner closely with Sales and Client Success to create high-impact materials, including pitch decks, solution sheets, battlecards, ROI calculators, and customer onboarding communications.

  • Domain & Market Intelligence: Stay current on energy market trends, regulatory shifts, and competitive moves in the DER space (demand response, storage, etc) to refine our market positioning

  • Go-To-Market Execution: Lead product launches and feature updates for C&I solutions, establishing success metrics and coordinating cross-functional deliverables.

  • Customer Storytelling: Work with Client Success to harvest real-world performance data and turn complex energy cost-savings into compelling case studies and customer testimonials.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years in B2B product marketing

  • Energy Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of energy markets, grid dynamics, and DER technologies (e.g., energy storage, solar, demand response, load management) within the C&I sector

  • Messaging Expertise: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with a proven track record of converting technical product features into business-value messaging, and demonstrated ability to use messaging to influence how key audiences and stakeholders think, feel, and act.

  • Stakeholder Alignment: Strong collaborative skills with demonstrated experience building trust and aligning with Sales and Client Success (CX) teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience marketing solutions to commercial and industrial customers (e.g. manufacturing, commercial real estate, healthcare, big box retail)

Please note that at this time, we do not sponsor visas or transfers for new hires. Voltus teammates need to be authorized to work from their home location (in the US or Canada, unless otherwise indicated on the role description).

Additionally, while Voltus is an all-remote workplace, we have limitations on where employees are able to work for regulatory and security reasons. We expect that Voltans are working primarily from their home country. Working while traveling to other countries must be approved as per our Global Remote Travel Policy.

At Voltus, we are proud to be an equal opportunity employer because we recognize that a diverse organization begins with a diverse candidate pool. This means we do not tolerate discrimination of any kind and are committed to providing equal employment opportunities regardless of your gender identity, race, nationality, religion, age, sexual orientation, veteran status, disability status, or marital status.
