Who is Rainforest?
Rainforest is an early stage payments-as-a-service startup that has developed a solution that makes monetizing payments for vertically focused software platforms fair and simple.
We focus on small-to-mid sized platforms that want to add value to their small business customers through embedded payments — and want to do so without adding operational or regulatory burdens or costs.
Led by a successful repeat fintech founder with deep knowledge of the industry, and with venture backing from a Top 10 VC firm, Rainforest is well positioned to make an impact in the payments-as-a-service space, and we're looking for new team members who want to be a part of this journey!
What are we looking for? We’re hiring a Product Marketing Manager to own Rainforest’s product launches end-to-end and extend our messaging to specific verticals, buyer personas, and accounts. This role requires both technical proficiency and high-impact communication. You should have an aptitude for quickly learning new domains, products, and features, and the communication skill to explain them to a skeptical buyer.
This is a hands-on role where you'll work closely with the broader Revenue team to create the right messaging and marketing assets for every vertical SaaS operator and investor who needs to know about Rainforest. You'll inherit our company-level positioning and messaging. Launch positioning and messaging is yours to build and make the case for. As the market evolves and you figure out what works, we’ll want your input on the company-level work too.
What are some of the high-impact opportunities you’ll tackle?Run product launches end-to-end, from positioning and messaging through the assets and the enablement that go with them.
Work with our Content Manager to keep product content flowing throughout the year. Our product should show up on the blog, on LinkedIn, and everywhere else we publish, even when we aren’t launching.
Tailor Rainforest's messaging to pre-defined target verticals, buyer personas, and accounts based on existing messaging frameworks and your own research.
Own our sales deck. Keep it current as our story and our product evolve, and make it the deck reps actually want to use.
Create the assets that carry our product story into the field: slides and one-pagers for key features, objection handling, and upsell collateral for customer success.
Own the product side of our website, including the homepage, product pages, and everything that stems from them. You’ll work with our designer and web developer to keep the site accurate and consistent as our product grows.
Collaborate with the GTM team to measure performance; continuously improve assets to lift conversation rates based on performance gaps and audience insights.
Serve as the marketing point of contact for our solutions engineer, keeping the product and positioning language she pulls from current.
3-5 years of experience in B2B product marketing at a high-growth startup, including at least one product launch you owned end-to-end.
A fast, self-directed learner. You dig into an unfamiliar topic until you really understand it, then you can explain it to a technical buyer, business buyer, and everyone in between.
Strong writing skills and a flexible communication style. You can shift tone and message across verticals, personas, and formats.
Credible with sales. You've sat in on calls, you take AE feedback seriously, and the reps you've worked with actually used what you built.
A data storyteller. You look at a pile of data and information and decide what actually matters, don't just report the numbers and facts.
AI native. You rigorously evaluate tools, test the limits of what AI can and can't do, set up and continuously improve processes, and help drive efficiency across the team with smart, strategic AI use.
Biased toward action. When you hit a wall, you look it up or find the right person to ask.
Organized enough to run several launches at once without dropping details.
Bonus: Experience in payments, fintech, or vertical SaaS.
Bonus: Familiarity with Claude Cowork, Webflow, Canva, Figma, Google Slides, and/or HubSpot.
We offer a comprehensive health benefits package, unlimited paid time off, paid parental leave, a fun and flexible working environment, and continuously invest in our people and our culture.
