We're hiring a Product Marketing Manager to own how DemandTec brings its platform to market.

This role sits at the center of Product, Sales, and Marketing, and is responsible for defining the positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy that drives how our solutions are understood, sold, and adopted. You will build the product marketing function from the ground up — establishing the frameworks, processes, and materials that enable our commercial teams to win.

Retail and CPG decision-makers are sophisticated buyers operating under real margin pressure. They've seen every AI pitch and have been burned by software that overpromised. The right candidate will know how to build messaging that earns credibility with that audience, and how to create sales tools that actually get used in the field.

This is a high-visibility, high-ownership role for someone who wants to shape how a category is defined, not just support how a product is described.

Requirements

Positioning & Messaging

Own the messaging and positioning strategy for DemandTec's platform and core solutions.

  • Define and maintain the overarching positioning framework, including value propositions, differentiators, and proof points for target buyer segments
  • Translate platform capabilities into business outcomes that resonate with executive buyers and technical evaluators
  • Develop persona-based messaging that speaks to the distinct needs of decision-makers and day-to-day users
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality messaging across all customer touchpoints — campaigns, website, events, and sales materials
  • Continuously refine positioning based on market feedback, win/loss analysis, and competitive dynamics

Go-to-Market & Product Launches

Lead planning and execution for go-to-market initiatives and product launches.

  • Partner with Product leadership to define positioning and launch strategy for new capabilities and solution areas
  • Develop full launch packages including messaging, product briefs, sales enablement, and campaign inputs
  • Drive cross-functional alignment across Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing to execute launches effectively
  • Build and own repeatable processes for bringing new capabilities to market on a quarterly release cadence

Sales Enablement

Build and maintain the tools and narratives that help our sales team compete and win.

  • Develop core sales enablement assets including pitch decks, solution briefs, battlecards, demo narratives, and objection-handling guides
  • Partner directly with Sales to understand field feedback, competitive pressures, and content gaps — and close them
  • Create persona-specific tools that support complex, multi-stakeholder buying committees
  • Establish a feedback loop with Sales to continuously improve effectiveness of enablement materials

Market & Competitive Intelligence

Develop a rigorous, ongoing view of the market, buyers, and competitive environment.

  • Build and maintain deep understanding of the retail and CPG technology market, including buyer priorities, industry trends, and competitive positioning
  • Lead win/loss analysis and translate findings into actionable messaging and enablement updates
  • Own and evolve Ideal Customer Profiles (ICP) in partnership with Sales and Marketing leadership
  • Monitor competitive moves and ensure DemandTec's positioning remains current and differentiated

Analyst & Partner Relations

Support the analyst and partner-facing initiatives that shape how institutional buyers evaluate us.

  • Develop product narratives, market context, and evidence packages for analyst briefings and inquiries
  • Partner with leadership to ensure consistent representation of DemandTec's platform story in analyst coverage
  • Support partner and co-marketing initiatives with clear, market-backed messaging

Campaign & Content Collaboration

Serve as the product marketing voice within demand generation and content initiatives.

  • Provide messaging frameworks, use cases, proof points, and audience insights that strengthen campaign performance
  • Partner with Content and Demand Gen teams to develop product-driven thought leadership
  • Ensure alignment between product positioning and campaign execution across channels

Website & Digital Content

Own product and solution content across DemandTec's key digital properties.

  • Develop and maintain product and solution pages that clearly communicate platform value to target buyers
  • Ensure website content reflects current positioning and campaign priorities
  • Support development of landing pages, product-focused content, and digital assets
  • Optimize content based on performance signals and buyer feedback

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in product marketing, with a focus on B2B SaaS or enterprise technology
  • Demonstrated ability to own positioning and messaging for complex products across multiple buyer segments
  • Proven track record developing sales enablement materials that field teams actively use
  • Experience leading go-to-market planning and execution for product launches
  • Strong analytical mindset — comfortable with win/loss data, market research, and competitive analysis
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills; able to distill technical complexity into clear business value
  • Ability to operate strategically and execute hands-on across a range of deliverables
