Job Description 

The Product Owner will be part of a broader platform experience team, responsible for Renaissance Intelligence – and education intelligence system that unifies assessment, instruction, and practice. This role is responsible for prioritizing and delivering a backlog of product features. As a member of this team, you'll be at the center of product innovation and development. You'll collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and your teammates to take ideas from concept to reality, utilizing your full range of skills and a healthy dose of user empathy. 

In this role as a Product Owner, you will: 

  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog, writing clear user stories and acceptance criteria to guide development team execution 
  • Collaborate with product manager to link business and technical strategy, ensuring alignment of development, release planning, and roadmap to overall product strategy. Establish cadence for delivering value incrementally, considering dependencies and roadmap priorities. 
  • Collaborate with development teams on iterative improvements to team processes, such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, and sprint review and retrospectives, to continuously deliver strategic value efficiently and effectively.  
  • Work cross-functionally with other product, UX, and engineering teams to deliver on Renaissance’s ecosystem value. 
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and product metrics to evaluate success and inform data-driven product decisions 
  • Perform essential acceptance testing in partnership with development teams and QA prior to release 
  • Communicate releases to broader business, in partnership with product manager. 

For this role as a Product Owner, you should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Education Technology, or related field 
  • 2-5 years of experience in product management, product ownership, or related role in software/technology environment 
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments with cross-functional teams 
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to translate data and customer insights into actionable product requirements 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience in educational technology, data analytics, or intelligence/assessment platforms 
  • Technical background or experience working closely with engineering teams on complex software products 
  • Knowledge of Spanish a plus 
  • Familiarity with LLM tools and a demonstrated curiosity of AI in product workflows

The below compensation range is based on national market data and may vary by experience and location. 

Salary Range
$82,200$113,100 USD
