Company OverviewAgentMail is building the communication and identity layer for AI agents.
Agents are starting to do real work, but they still lack basic infrastructure humans already have: persistent identity, reliable communication, permissions, memory, and a system of record. AgentMail gives every AI agent its own programmable inbox.
Developers use our API to create inboxes, send and receive email, manage threads, parse messages into structured data, route webhooks, attach domains, and build agents that can communicate across the internet.
We're backed by Y Combinator and have raised $6M led by General Catalyst, with support from the founders of Ramp, Supabase, and HubSpot, as well as Paul Graham.
We're early, moving fast, and building in a category without a playbook. If you want to help define core infrastructure for the agent era, we'd love to meet you.
TLDRWe're hiring a Product & PLG Lead to understand who uses AgentMail, why they need it, where they get stuck, what makes them activate, and how product usage turns into expansion.
This role owns the product-led growth loop. You'll work across PostHog, customer calls, onboarding flows, docs, API usage, lifecycle emails, and experiments. Your job is to understand what people are building with AgentMail, which use cases matter most, and how to get more users to value faster.
What You'll DoOwn product analytics across PostHog and related tools
Build dashboards for signup quality, activation, retention, expansion, churn, and PLG-to-sales conversion
Segment users by persona, use case, company type, behavior, API usage, and revenue potential
Run A/B tests across onboarding, docs, lifecycle emails, pricing, packaging, and activation flows
Identify which API features and use cases drive the strongest retention and expansion
Interview customers and translate usage into clear personas and product insights
Build lifecycle campaigns that help users get to value faster
Partner with engineering to improve docs, examples, templates, SDK flows, and first-run experience
Partner with revenue to identify high-intent accounts and expansion opportunities
You are obsessive about funnels, product behavior, event tracking, and user intent
You have worked on PLG, growth, product, analytics, or lifecycle at a technical product company
You know tools like PostHog, Amplitude, Mixpanel, Segment, Customer.io, SQL, Hex, Metabase, or similar
You can form a hypothesis, instrument it, ship an experiment, and interpret the result
You care about developer experience and business outcomes
You can talk to users and also inspect raw product data
You notice tiny product and messaging details that others miss
You are comfortable with ambiguity and can create structure from messy usage patterns
Experience with developer tools, APIs, infra, AI products, or B2B PLG
Experience turning self-serve users into sales-qualified accounts
Experience with pricing/packaging experiments
Experience building onboarding, docs, lifecycle, or activation systems
You can write clear product copy and explain technical concepts simply
