VOLT AI is a real-time video intelligence platform that transforms existing security camera infrastructure into intelligent, proactive safety systems. Our AI-powered platform is trusted by Fortune 500 companies, schools, and critical facilities to detect threats, violence, and medical emergencies in real time — protecting people and property at scale.
We are seeking a product-minded MBA intern to own and build the Volt Deployments Platform — a new customer-facing transparency tool that takes a signed contract through to a functioning deployment, replacing the current email-and-meeting back-and-forth with a clear, step-by-step digital experience for the customer.
This role sits at the intersection of product strategy, operations, and engineering. You will define the business logic, design the end-to-end flow, and build working solutions in collaboration with the engineering team. The work you do this summer will directly shape a core product surface used by Volt's customers.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable going from ambiguity to structure — scoping problems, designing solutions, and driving execution. You should prefer being on the ground observing workflows firsthand over relying on second-hand information, and be ready to own a product initiative from zero to one.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end design and build of the Volt Deployments Platform, from problem discovery through working product
- Map the current contract-to-deployment lifecycle and identify pain points, inefficiencies, and opportunities for automation
- Define business logic, user flows, and system requirements for the platform
- Collaborate closely with the engineering team on integration into Volt's existing technology stack
- Engage directly with customers and internal stakeholders to validate assumptions and iterate on the experience
- Lead technical and design discussions around deployment workflows, translating operational complexity into a clean customer-facing experience
- Present progress, learnings, and recommendations to company leadership on a regular cadence
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in product management, operations, consulting, or a technical building role
- Technical fluency — able to work alongside engineers, discuss system architecture, and contribute to build decisions
- Demonstrated interest in physical security, AI/computer vision, or enterprise SaaS
- Experience with deployment operations, customer onboarding, or project management tools
- Background working in fast-moving startup environments
What Success Looks Like
- The Deployments Platform is designed, scoped, and has a working build integrated into Volt's stack
- Customer deployment workflows move from ad-hoc email and meetings to a structured, transparent digital experience
- Internal teams and customers can track deployment progress through clear milestones and status updates
- Product decisions are informed by direct observation and customer feedback, not assumptions
- Engineering and product teams are aligned on the platform roadmap beyond the internship
