Why Socure?

Socure is building the identity trust infrastructure for the digital economy — verifying 100% of good identities in real time and stopping fraud before it starts. The mission is big, the problems are complex, and the impact is felt by businesses, governments, and millions of people every day.

We hire people who want that level of responsibility. People who move fast, think critically, act like owners, and care deeply about solving customer problems with precision. If you want predictability or narrow scope, this won’t be your place. If you want to help build the future of identity with a team that holds a high bar for itself — keep reading.

The Role

We’re looking for a world-class Motion Designer to help define and elevate how motion shows up across our brand, marketing, and product experiences. This role sits at the intersection of storytelling, systems thinking, and craft—and will have real influence over how motion is used across everything we ship.

You'll own motion from concept to execution: long-horizon, research-driven brand narratives and fast, high-impact motion for social and campaigns. You’ll also partner closely with product design and engineering to inform motion behavior across our website and product UI—bringing clarity, polish, and intent to every interaction. This is not a production-only role. We’re looking for someone who thinks deeply, obsesses over details, and treats motion as a core design discipline—not decoration.

What You’ll Do

  • Set the bar for motion quality across brand, marketing, and digital experiences

  • Lead large-scale motion projects with meaningful runway—concepting, researching, prototyping, and refining until the work feels inevitable

  • Execute high-velocity motion work for social, campaigns, and launches without sacrificing craft

  • Design motion systems and patterns that scale across web and product experiences

  • Collaborate with product designers and engineers to shape motion behavior in UI (micro-interactions, transitions, state changes, feedback)

  • Translate abstract ideas and complex concepts into clear, elegant motion narratives

  • Push the team forward by introducing better tools, workflows, and standards

  • Advocate for motion as a strategic lever, not an afterthought

What “Great” Looks Like

You are someone who:

  • Has exceptional taste and can articulate why something works—not just that it does
Thinks in systems, not just one-off animations

  • Is as comfortable working solo as you are partnering deeply with designers, writers, and engineers

  • Can move between high-concept brand work and fast, pragmatic execution without losing quality

  • Cares deeply about refinement: easing curves, timing, restraint, and intent

  • Treats feedback as a sharpening tool, not a threat

Required Experience & Skills

  • 7+ years of professional motion design experience (or equivalent body of work)

  • Expert-level mastery of After Effects

  • Strong experience with modern, web-centric motion tools such as:

    • Rive

    • Blender (or equivalent 3D workflows)

    • Lottie / real-time motion pipelines• A portfolio that demonstrates:High production value
      Conceptual thinking
      Brand sensibility

    • UI or interaction-driven motion (a big plus)

    • Strong understanding of motion principles, typography, layout, and visual systems

    • Experience collaborating with product teams and working within design systems

    • Comfort working across different timelines—from weeks-long explorations to same-day turnarounds

Nice to Have (Not Required)

  • Experience designing motion for SaaS products or complex platforms

  • Familiarity with front-end constraints and performance considerations

  • Experience contributing to or defining motion guidelines within a design system

  • Background working at or alongside top-tier design orgs (Google, Apple, Stripe, Airbnb, etc.)

Why This Role Matters: Motion is a critical part of how our brand feels, how our product communicates, and how trust is built with our customers. This role will have real ownership and influence, not just executional responsibility. If you’ve ever felt constrained by teams that treat motion as an afterthought—or are ready to help define what “great” looks like at scale—this role is built for you.

  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
