Job Purpose
To plan, coordinate, and monitor production activities to ensure timely delivery of products while optimizing resources, maintaining quality standards, and meeting customer requirements. This role serves as the link between production, procurement, and inventory management to achieve operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions) *
- Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and optimize resource utilization.
- Coordinate material availability with procurement and inventory teams to prevent shortages or delays.
- Create, release, and monitor work orders for accurate execution of production plans.
- Analyze production capacity and adjust schedules to balance workload and prevent bottlenecks.
- Monitor inventory levels, reconcile discrepancies, and implement strategies to minimize excess or shortages.
- Track production progress, identify delays or issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule adherence.
- Prepare and present reports on production status, material usage, and efficiency metrics to management.
- Act as liaison between production, engineering, procurement, and quality teams to ensure smooth workflow.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Good working knowledge of electronic assembly
- Skilled in the use of all types of hand and power tools
- Able to work from blueprints, sketches, and/or verbal instructions
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot when necessary
- A strong work ethic and attention to detail is required
- Ability to work as a team or independent successfully
- 2+ years of experience in production control, scheduling, or manufacturing operations.
- Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and production planning tools.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
