THE OPPORTUNITY

Striking Distance Studios is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Coordinator to support our Lead Producer in the development and delivery of our game projects. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about video games, enjoys organization and clear communication, and is eager to build a long-term career in production.
This role is slated as a 12 month contract with an opportunity to be hired fulltime if the candidate performance and business needs align.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the Lead Producer by taking clear, actionable notes and tracking follow-ups from meetings. 
  • Create, manage, and maintain detailed spreadsheets to track scope, and milestones, while clearly communicating progress updates to the Lead Producer and broader team. 
  • Support feature management and tracking through tools such as JIRA and Confluence. 
  • Help prepare production documents, reports, and presentations. 
  • Contribute to quality assurance processes when needed, including documenting issues and testing builds.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong work ethic, proactive mindset, and ability to self-manage in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Willingness to step up and support the team when deadlines or challenges require extra effort.  
  • Highly organized with sharp attention to detail; excellent note-taking and follow-up skills. 
  • Clear, professional communicator (verbal and written), with the ability to keep leadership and teams aligned. 
  • Proficiency with productivity and collaboration tools, including: 
  • Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive) 
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) 
  • JIRA and Confluence for project tracking and documentation 
  • Strong ability to create, manage, and interpret data in spreadsheets (Google Sheets & Excel) for scope and feature tracking. 
  • Genuine passion for video games and interest in building a long-term career in game production. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Background in Quality Assurance (QA), with familiarity in bug tracking and reporting. 
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, Perforce). 
  • Basic understanding of game development pipelines (art, engineering, design).
