Base pay rate is $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Day Shift Hours: 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM, hours may vary depending on operations

This is a position with the potential of overtime. The shifts are 8 hours, 10 hours, and 12 hours long depending on work orders for the day and season of the year.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

A Production Scheduler plays a crucial role in manufacturing and production environments, ensuring that workflows are optimized and deadlines are met. The Production Scheduler is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing production schedules to ensure efficient operations. They work closely with various departments, including production, logistics, and procurement, to streamline processes and meet customer demands.

KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Production Planning:
  • Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts and resource availability.
  • Assists in planning and managing production schedules to meet customer delivery expectations.
  • Analyzes sales order releases in terms of capacity planning and material requirements.
  • Orders floor stock with shelf-life for production.
  • Reviews sales orders against current requirements and work in process.
  • Releases production orders for materials and purchases.
• Order Management:
  • Acts on order releases and exception messages from the company system.
  • Processes XDA releases and updates material production requirements in MES.
  • Interfaces with inventory control for scheduling and availability.
  • Responds to termination and cancellation requests from Sales.
• Workflow Coordination:
  • Ensure smooth operations by aligning production activities with inventory and supply chain needs.
• Monitoring & Adjustments:
  • Track production progress, identify bottlenecks, and adjust schedules as needed.
• Collaboration:
  • Work with production teams, suppliers, and management to optimize efficiency.
• Data Analysis & Reporting:
  • Maintain records, analyze production trends, and generate reports for management.
• Compliance & Quality Control:
  • Ensure adherence to industry regulations and company standards.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple schedules and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills to optimize production workflows.
• Technical Proficiency: Experience with scheduling software and production management tools.
• Communication Skills: Ability to coordinate with different teams and stakeholders.
• Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in scheduling and resource allocation.

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• 1-2 Years previous experience in production scheduling, manufacturing, or logistics.
• Good Communication Skills
• Basic Computer Skills
• Flexible with working overtime and weekends when needed
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist

The US pay range for this full-time position is $20.00 per hour to $22.00 per hour + medical, dental, vision benefits starting day 1 + 401k and PTO. (Full-time is defined as regularly working 30+ hours per week. Union programs may vary depending on the collective bargaining agreement.)
