As a Professional Services Manager you will play a pivotal leadership role in driving the success of our client engagements. You will manage teams of junior consultants and analysts, design and implement tailored solutions, and ensure that every engagement is delivered with operational excellence. This position offers meaningful opportunities to develop your leadership, analytical, and communication skills while contributing directly to our Professional Services goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Client Engagement & Advisory: Build and maintain enduring client relationships; act as a trusted advisor who deeply understands clients’ operating models, technology stacks, processes, and compliance requirements across insurance and asset management.

  • Solution Design & Implementation: Design, configure, and implement tailored, scalable solutions that address each client’s unique needs—from investment accounting and GL reporting to end-to-end platform integration and optimization.

  • Project Management: Lead end-to-end project implementations, defining scope, timelines, resources, and budgets. Ensure timely delivery, manage stakeholder expectations, and proactively surface and resolve risks.

  • Process & Operational Evaluation: Conduct thorough evaluations of investment management workflows including investment accounting, performance measurement, trade execution, cash and collateral management, compliance monitoring, risk management / ALM, and reporting.

  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and develop junior consultants and analysts. Foster a collaborative environment that promotes skills growth, accountability, and high performance.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Product Development, Engineering, and Marketing to align solutions with client needs and evolving market requirements.

  • Data Analysis & Strategic Guidance: Analyze and interpret financial and operational data to inform client decision-making; provide strategic guidance that drives performance-oriented outcomes.

  • Documentation & Reporting: Produce comprehensive project plans, user documentation, and executive-level status reports that ensure transparency and clear communication with all stakeholders.

  • Training & Enablement: Facilitate training sessions and workshops to drive client adoption of best practices and new capabilities.

  • Industry Awareness: Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments in insurance and asset management to continuously enhance Clearwater’s service offerings.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

  • 8+ years of experience in investment operations, technical accounting, or financial services, with a strong emphasis on insurance and/or asset management.

  • Deep knowledge in one or more of the following areas:

  • Investment Accounting & General Ledger Reporting (US GAAP, IFRS)

  • Alternative Investments (limited partnerships, credit products, derivatives)

  • Regulatory Reporting for asset managers or insurance companies

  • Experience leading complex projects in a consulting or professional services environment.

  • Familiarity with investment management technology solutions across the front, middle, and back office.

  • Prior experience in Big 4 or professional services consulting is strongly preferred.

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA)—highly desired but not required.

  • Experience with Clearwater Analytics or comparable investment accounting / reporting platforms.

  • Exposure to end-to-end operating model transformation engagements.

Salary Range: $120,000-$168,000

This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, benefits include: health/vision/dental insurance, 401(k), PTO, parental leave, and medical leave, STD/LTD insurance benefits.
