The StartX Program Manager position offers the chance to lead the full lifecycle of the StartX Accelerator, from conception to execution. You will make an immediate impact on entrepreneurs and students solving the world’s most difficult problems by providing them with relevant educational experiences. As part of your daily responsibilities, you will work with the most vibrant entrepreneurial community, brilliant Stanford students, and connect with the best in the industry. RESPONSIBILITIES
Design StartX’s educational curriculum and source experts to bring cutting-edge experiential learning to founders and students:
Grow and manage StartX’s pipeline of experts in each of our industry verticals (Med, Sustainability, etc.) and business functions (Fundraising, Sales, etc.)
Design a comprehensive curriculum of events each session (talks, panels, workshops, and office hours) adapted to the founder's goals, stages, industries and markets.
Tailor StartX Accelerator programming for student entrepreneurs.
Plan and execute Program Events to provide customized and relevant experience to founders and students:
Plan and execute weekly events and coordinate 1-2 larger milestone events per session.
Run events at the highest level of quality, managing deadlines and costs, and coordinating staff and volunteers.
Measure and analyze impact to improve programming and develop new offers.
Build the StartX Library & Resources to be the best entrepreneurial library out of Stanford:
Curate and organize the most relevant existing StartX learning resources (videos, documents, people, templates, etc.) into our industry verticals and business functions.
Source, crowd-source, and curate cutting-edge business resources in the Stanford and start-up ecosystem; organize these resources in creative, comprehensive, and impactful formats easily accessible to founders.
Support Founders to make an outsized impact on their companies in a 10 week period:
Build close relationships with several startups every session; lead regular check-ins, help them navigate the StartX ecosystem, and provide them with individualized support that will contribute to start-up success.
Leverage StartX resources and community to identify tailored learning experiences.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE
4+ years of startup, venture, or accelerator experience building programs or services that support entrepreneurs
2+ years of any of the following:
Event Management
Community Management
Program Management
Product Marketing & Design
Educational Design
SKILLS NEEDED
The Program Manager combines creativity with practicality, leveraging both strategic foresight and effective execution to bring ideas to life. You must be:
A structured and organized planner able to manage projects and coordinate events and staff.
Able to express yourself clearly in writing and speech
Proactive about creating repeatable and scalable processes and services.
Willing to get the job done; no task is too small for you
Adaptable and flexible, able to iterate and respond when circumstances change
Literate in startups, whether as a founder or being close to founders
Customer service oriented. Your customers will be startup founders and industry experts
Passionate about supporting entrepreneurs
A team player willing to lead or follow when necessary

Educational design skills
Marketing skills and experience
Contributor to student organizations
Student or professional athlete
Expertise in a specific business or industry field (Med, AI, fundraising, sales, etc.)
