Description

The San Francisco Conservatory of Music is looking for a Program Manager, Pre-College & Continuing Education, who will manage daily functions of the Pre-College Academy and Early Childhood Program, including all private lessons, classes and events. 


Reporting to the Associate Dean and Executive Director of Pre-College and Continuing Education Divisions, the incumbent will: 

  • Serve as the main point of contact for students, parents, and faculty on Saturdays
  • Assist with the registration process for new and returning students in all divisions
  • Manage Pre-College Masterclass series
  • Coordinate elective recitals arrangements for faculty and students throughout the year
  • Lead certificate programs; ensure students have fulfilled requirements, and provide advising
  • Support the Bridge to Arts and Music program
  • Assist with Continuing Education Division programs and activities as needed
  • Support interdepartmental projects (with Marketing & Communications, Advancement, Production, etc.)
  • In collaboration with the team, maintain the Pre-College and Continuing Education database (ASAP), tracking all tuition payments and ensuring that all accounts and registrations are current and accurate
  • Perform other duties as assigned 

Requirements

  • A minimum of three (3) years professional experience working in the field of arts administration with a four-year undergraduate degree or equivalent required
  • Strong background in music and music education
  • Experience supporting students and families in Early Childhood programs (ages 0–9)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with exemplary planning and organizational skills
  • Highly adaptable, positive, and patient
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to maintain strong working relationships with SFCM administrative staff, faculty, students, parents, and alumni
  • Ability to work with and maintain complex database systems 
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Drive applications
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check is required for the selected candidate
