The Program Manager, Technical Talent Development is responsible for owning and driving the execution of enterprise learning programs that build the technical capabilities of Convergint’s workforce. This role plays a key part in developing early career talent and individuals transitioning into technical roles, supporting their progression into electronic security and banking security technician positions.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role that requires a high level of independence. The Program Manager is expected to manage programs end-to-end, move work forward proactively, and ensure deliverables are completed with minimal oversight.

The environment is fast-paced and evolving, with structure still being built. Success in this role requires strong program management skills, sound judgment, and the ability to create clarity, prioritize effectively, and follow through consistently.

While this role primarily supports technical development programs, the individual will also contribute to broader Talent Development initiatives as business needs evolve..

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and drive execution of Technical Talent Development programs, including large-scale training cohorts for electronic security and banking security technicians
  • Manage programs end-to-end, including timelines, communications, materials, logistics, and reporting for both classroom and hands-on learning
  • Partner with business leaders, field operations, and subject matter experts to understand needs and support program design and delivery
  • Establish and maintain clear program structure, including timelines, stakeholder cadence, and communication plans
  • Proactively identify risks, remove blockers, and ensure programs stay on track
  • Build and maintain tools, templates, and processes that enable scalable delivery
  • Track program participation, progress, and outcomes; provide clear updates to stakeholders
  • Support learning technology initiatives, including Workday and other systems
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve program effectiveness and learner experience
  • Contribute to additional Talent Development programs and initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

  • Corporate experience in Talent Development, Learning & Development, Program Management, or a related field
  • Proven ability to manage multiple programs or projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to prioritize work and focus on high-impact activities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with learning technologies or LMS platforms (preferred)
  • Familiarity with instructional design or adult learning principles (preferred)
  • Exposure to technical environments (e.g., electronic security, low voltage, electromechanical systems) is helpful but not required; ability to quickly learn technical concepts is important

What Success Looks Like

  • Programs are delivered on time, well-organized, and meet business needs
  • Work moves forward without requiring repeated follow-up or intervention
  • Deadlines are met consistently, or risks are communicated early
  • Stakeholders receive clear, timely communication with no surprises
  • Programs are structured, scalable, and continuously improving

Who Will Thrive in This Role

  • A self-directed individual who takes ownership and follows through on commitments
  • Someone who can operate independently and move work forward without waiting for direction
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Able to create structure and clarity in ambiguous situations
  • A strong collaborator who works effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Someone who balances attention to detail with the ability to execute efficiently
  • Open to feedback and continuously improving.
  • Ability to quickly understand electromechanical and electronic security concepts, enabling effective partnership with technical subject matter experts and credibility with learners.

Why This Role Matters

This role directly supports Convergint’s ability to build a skilled technical workforce at scale. The Program Manager plays a critical role in ensuring training programs are effective, consistent, and aligned to business needs, helping develop technicians who are prepared to succeed in the field.
