BAE Systems is hiring a Program Manager to support our Ship Repair business in San Diego, CA. As a Program Manager, you can help our teams solve some of the most complex challenges - all while growing your own career. Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate project activities, deliverables, and action items
  • Prepare project execution plans and identify technical and business resource needs
  • Develop or assist with development of project cost estimates and proposals
  • Review work statements / scope to ensure they are adequately defined and executable
  • Proactively and collaboratively support the project team through scope review, investigation, and guidance
  • Execute processes and procedures to meet management and project requirements
  • Review performance to include budget and schedule; review/prepare status reports
  • Monitor effort to ensure schedule and budget are maintained accordance to plan
  • Work with risk managers to ensure risks and opportunities are properly captured, appropriate risk mitigation activities are identified, and risk mitigation is effective
  • Support the development and communication of program metrics
  • Maintain and promote good customer relationships

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field of study and 8 years of experience in Program/Project Management
  • Experience in project planning, execution, monitoring, and controlling processes
  • Experience in Production, Facilities, or similar environments
  • Ability to manage and report project schedules and budgets
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Ability to adapt to high volume workloads
  • Ability to represent the team and deliver status reports to internal and external leadership
  • Excellent organizational and follow through skills
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Detail oriented with problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Graduate Degree
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar Certification
  • Experience in Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Experience in Facilities Modernization/Upgrade projects
  • Experience in Defense or Maritime industries

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $132962 - $226035
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
