NBCUniversal's Quality & Program Management (QPM) team provides program oversight & strategic planning across large initiatives within Technical Operations and Enterprise Engineering. The team is seeking a Program Specialist who will be instrumental in supporting large-scale transformation initiatives for the Office of the CIO & EVP. The programs in this area are core to delivering key projects and initiatives and organizational change aligned with our strategic vision in a fast-changing Media and Entertainment market.

Job Description
NBCUniversal's Quality & Program Management (QPM) team provides program oversight & strategic planning across large initiatives within Technical Operations and Enterprise Engineering. The team is seeking a Program Specialist who will be instrumental in supporting large-scale transformation initiatives for the Office of the CIO & EVP. The programs in this area are core to delivering key projects and initiatives and organizational change aligned with our strategic vision in a fast-changing Media and Entertainment market.
- Partner with other Program Managers and stakeholders to structure and manage large-scale programs at an enterprise level. Initial focus will be on time sensitive projects that must be completed before the LA28 Olympic games
- Document requirements/scope, dependencies, program-level status updates, and assist with prioritization of requests
- Prepare for program status meetings, including creation of agendas, presentations, minutes, action items and follow-ups
- Help manage cross-functional dependencies, risks, and changes effectively by optimizing scope, schedule, and resources accordingly
- Contribute to the existing Business Operations processes across the organization to ensure they run smoothly including development of templates and collection of status updates and accomplishments
- Follow and contribute to standards, best practices, processes, and documentation for the Program Management team
- Support meeting cadences and processes of the CIO & EVP by preparing executive presentations and compiling materials from across the team
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or 3 years equivalent experience in Project/Program Management, Business Administration or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong presentation skills and facilitation abilities. PowerPoint experience is a must.
- Flexibility and an excellent interpersonal demeanor in order to work with many different types of teams
- Exemplary time management and organizational skills, including thorough note taking with follow ups
- Proactive: strong sense of ownership and a self-starter
- Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment with short turnaround times and occasional late nights and weekends
- Experience within the Media and Entertainment industry
Desired Characteristics:
- Experience with central toolsets such as JIRA, Lucidchart, Smartsheet, Tableau and/or PowerBI
Additional Requirements:
- Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
- The candidate must live within a commutable distance from our NYC and Stamford, CT offices.
