STV is currently looking for a Project Architect to join our Buildings Group in Los Angeles, CA.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead design and development of multiple projects

  • Develops design to ensure project are within functional program, budgetary, environmental and legal requirements

  • Manages multiple projects, through interaction with Consultants, Engineers, and additional personnel to ensure timely completion of these projects

  • Develop design layouts and frameworks for projects, including drawings and specifications, while providing insight and support throughout all stages.

  • Participate in project scheduling, defining scope, budgeting, staffing, and construction administration, while managing change orders effectively.

  • Apply expert knowledge of architectural concepts, codes, and procedures; prepare studies, reports, and technical specifications; and present findings to clients

  • Lead and supervises internal team of design professionals (architects and engineers) through design process

  • Understand, develop, and follow structured work plans to ensure projects meet deadlines, budgets, and design intent.

  • Support management of design progresses including coordination with clients, consultants and with internal team

  • Write clear and concise project narratives, material specifications, and other technical documents essential for project coordination and client presentations.

  • Build and maintain relationships with counterparts, contractors and consultants to develop new business opportunities and ensure satisfaction goals are met.

  • Ensure adherence to firm-wide QA/QC processes and compliance with codes and standards.

  • Conduct research on design, building codes, zoning regulations, and project requirements to support informed decision-making and ensure alignment with project goals.

  • Participate in site visits to assess conditions and gather information for design accuracy.

  • Lead and delegate tasks effectively to junior staff and interns and assisting with task completion on multiple projects to meet deadlines.

  • Provide ongoing support to ensure project milestones are achieved.

Required Experience

  • Professional Architecture Degree.

  • 8+ years of related experience.

  • Licensure required

  • Demonstrated strength of technical knowledge & design sensibility.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of 3D modeling & BIM documentation tools, including Revit and the Adobe Suite.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of building codes, zoning, jurisdictional processes, building materials, specifications, and construction techniques.

  • Demonstrated experience developing CD Sets, including detailing ability and coordination of consultants.

  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant in the culture of the studio.

  • Programs & Software

  • Proficient in Revit

  • Capability in AutoCAD and Rhino.

  • Skilled in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)

  • Experience with Bluebeam and Enscape

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)

Compensation Range:

$98,010.59 - $130,680.78
