Position Summary:

The Project Coordinator II will lead the onboarding experience for advisors’ transitioning their practice ($5MM-$25MM) to AssetMark. This leader will work closely with the financial advisor, their staff, and the AssetMark relationship consulting team (sales/service/business consulting) to understand the client’s requirements, define the client’s operating model with AssetMark, coordinate all aspects of the conversion to AssetMark, and ensure a consistent and successful transition onto the AssetMark platform. Among other important priorities, the Project Coordinator will ensure the committed assets are realized by AssetMark, that issues are identified and solved quickly, and that we create an extraordinary and positive experience for the financial advisor and their staff. The successful candidate will have excellent relationship and communication skills and the ability to solve analytical issues and bring the power of the platform to the transitioning practice to achieve that advisor’s goals and objectives.  A successful candidate has keen awareness of AssetMark’s operating model, the AssetMark advisor and client experience, industry trends, and best practices for book-level transitions.

We can consider candidates for this position who are able to accommodate a hybrid work schedule and are close to one of our following offices: Phoenix, AZ, or Concord, CA

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and own the onboarding experience for large clients that require cross-functional orchestration

  • Be persuasive and effective in winning a high rate of Transitions from potential opportunities

  • Develop a deep understanding of AssetMark’s affiliation models, agreement structure, products, service and operations model, and custodial capabilities and services. 

  • Perform diligence to understand needs, provide details on how the AssetMark platform functions and predict any operating challenges for prospective clients.

  • Identify and coordinate the execution of any accommodation needed to the AssetMark operating model

  • Lead a backlog grooming process that identifies transition opportunities and defines the best fit client experience for all opportunities based upon the resources available.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 5+ years of Financial Advisory Industry experience.

  • 3+ years in a direct relationship facing role with clients.

  • Excellent qualitative, quantitative and analytical skills, along with the ability to apply those skills across a variety of business processes.

  • Experience working in cross-functional teams in a variety of roles bringing strong facilitative leadership to projects and processes.

  • Perform diligence to understand needs, provide details on how the AssetMark platform functions and predict any operating challenges for prospective clients.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management experience

  • Custody and Operations experience

  • Previous management experience

Compensation: The Base Salary range for this position is between $70,000-$80,000.  

 

This information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location. This position will also be eligible for additional variable incentive compensation and competitive benefits. 

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US to be considered. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
