Position Overview
Blue Acorn iCi is seeking a Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and tracking of projects end-to-end, including scope, timeline, budget, resources, and risk. This role will coordinate cross-functional dependencies across engineering, data, design, and business teams while ensuring projects remain aligned with delivery objectives and stakeholder expectations.
Location: Hybrid - Onsite 3 days a week expected in San Jose, CA
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Delivery- Plan, execute, and track projects end-to-end, including scope, timeline, budget, resources, and risk.
- Build and maintain project plans, milestone tracking, and status reporting, including RAG status, dashboards, and executive updates.
- Apply Agile/Scrum and/or Waterfall methodologies based on project needs.
- Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
- Manage cross-functional dependencies across engineering, data, design, and business teams.
- Proactively identify project risks, issues, and blockers and drive resolution.
- Manage resource planning and allocation, including coordination across onshore and offshore teams.
- Use project management tools such as Jira, Workfront, MS Project, or similar platforms to support project execution and tracking.
- Work directly with customers and stakeholders to gather requirements, manage expectations, and ensure delivery alignment.
- Run status meetings, steering committees, and leadership readouts.
- Maintain strong communication and stakeholder management throughout project delivery.
- 4-8+ years of experience in Project Management, Program Management, or a related field.
- Experience planning, executing, and tracking projects end-to-end, including scope, timeline, budget, resources, and risk.
- Hands-on experience with project management tools such as Jira, Workfront, MS Project, or similar.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum and/or Waterfall methodologies, with the ability to apply the right approach based on project needs.
- Experience managing cross-functional dependencies across engineering, data, design, and business teams.
- Ability to build and maintain project plans, milestone tracking, and status reporting, including RAG status, dashboards, and executive updates.
- Strong risk and issue management skills, including proactively identifying blockers and driving resolution.
- Experience with resource planning and allocation, including coordinating onshore/offshore teams.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience running status meetings, steering committees, and leadership readouts.
- Ability to work effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments while managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Willingness to work directly with customers/stakeholders to gather requirements, manage expectations, and ensure delivery alignment.
- Experience in a customer-facing or technical PM role, particularly within data, analytics, or enterprise platform environments.
- Familiarity with data engineering/cloud concepts, including pipelines, warehousing, ETL/ELT, AWS, Azure, or GCP, to effectively coordinate with technical teams.
- Experience managing projects involving AI/ML, Generative AI, or LLM-based initiatives.
- Experience with budget/funding tracking, financial forecasting, or investment justification for projects.
- Experience driving governance processes, including intake, approvals, JIRA/ticket tracking, and reporting for cost or efficiency initiatives.
- PMP, CSM, SAFe, or equivalent project/program management certification.
- Track record of taking projects from planning/MVP through full production launch and rollout.
- Experience managing a portfolio of projects or a PMO function, including mentoring junior PMs.
- Experience presenting project status and strategic recommendations to senior leadership or governance boards.
The base salary range for this position is $125,000–$175,000 annually. Actual compensation may vary depending on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors.
