As the Project Scheduler, you will be responsible for developing and managing Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) schedules in Primavera P6 for a portfolio of projects. This role supports multiple construction managers and works closely with project stakeholders to develop accurate, Critical Path Methodology (CPM) schedules. A background in construction-focused scheduling will excel in this position. You will also support broader project controls activities, including schedule-driven performance analysis and 4D modeling where appropriate.
Your Day-to-day activities
- Attend project kickoff, startup, and planning meetings to support schedule development
- Develop proposal, pre-construction, baseline, and execution EPC CPM schedules in Primavera P6
- Prepare scheduling submittals, including baseline schedules, monthly updates, and narratives
- Facilitate planning meetings and scheduling workshops to develop execution plans and schedule logic
- Verify activity durations, logic ties, and progress using field reports, inspections, and site walks
- Collect and validate status updates and confirm physical site conditions
- Load labor and resources into schedules with tiebacks to project estimates and analyze resource leveling
- Lead schedule development discussions with internal teams, subcontractors, and consultants
- Prepare lookahead schedules to identify constraints and upcoming risks
- Analyze schedule variances, changes to the critical path, and overall performance trends
- Forecast future performance using production rates, resource demand data, and historical progress
- Develop “what-if” scenarios and recovery schedules as required
- Identify schedule risks and communicate impacts and recommendations to the project team
- Perform Time Impact Analyses (TIAs) and support claims avoidance and resolution efforts
- Review payment applications for alignment with cost- and resource-loaded schedules
- Develop custom schedule reports to support client and project team needs
- Perform productivity and production analysis to support planning and forecasting
- Develop and maintain 4D models for projects and pursuits as appropriate
- Document schedule changes, delays, and adverse conditions
- Support broader project controls activities beyond scheduling when required
You'll Be Prepared for This Job If You Have
- 2+ years of experience in construction scheduling, project controls, or project management
- Strong Primavera P6 CPM scheduling experience
- Experience developing and managing EPC construction schedules
- Experience with schedule-driven performance and productivity analysis
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project controls software
You'll Stand Out If You Have
- PMP, PMI-SP, or similar professional certification
- Experience preparing and reviewing Time Impact Analyses (TIAs)
- Experience supporting contractor or owner claims
- Experience with 4D modeling and advanced project controls workflows
- Demonstrated leadership ability and strong attention to detail
Compensation & Benefits
