Lead Design Program Manager
About the Role
Design Program Managers at Chime are responsible for organizing a growing Product and Content Design across multiple programs and projects. This position requires strong collaboration, organization, and communication skills in order to scale, improve team cohesion, increase efficiency, and build a healthy operational framework. You will partner with a Design Director on planning, resourcing, project management, and stakeholder management. You will work with partners in product, engineering, and leadership to plan and improve the way teams work together.
In this role, you can expect to
- Evangelize and help build the design program management team and practice
- Plan, scope, prioritize, sequence, and allocate resources for conflicting priorities with limited resources
- Function as the main point of contact for tracking, reporting, status, prioritization, blockers, and dependencies
- Develop & maintain important stakeholder relationships
- Manage and improve collaboration with partners
- Manage projects from kick-off to delivery
- Work with design leadership to identify team needs for headcount, process, and tools
- Evangelize the Design team to Chime.
To thrive in this role, you have
- 6+ years experience as a project manager, program manager, or producer as part of an in-house product design team or a design consultancy
- Clear and effective written, verbal, and visual communication skills
- Outstanding organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
- Passion for project and asset management
- Ability to drive conversations and navigate ambiguity
- Ability to be self-directed and take initiative
- Passion for team building and creating culture
