Program Manager, Networks and Implementation
About the role
As the Program Manager, Networks and Implementation, you’ll play a critical role in scaling our infrastructure as we prepare to add millions of new members to our banking platform. This effort requires tremendous coordination with our critical external partners: our two issuing Banks and our exclusive issuing network, Visa. As part of this exciting, XXL initiative, you’ll be responsible for driving the implementation with these partners. Additionally, you’ll take ownership of the broader Visa partnership, driving strategic engagement, exploring new opportunities, and optimizing our economics.Â
In this role, you can expect to
- Own the relationship and communication channels between Chime and the Payment Networks, including overall strategy and project implementation
- Partner with product and engineering leadership, including our cofounder & CTO, to help set the vision, strategy and roadmaps for our core banking platform.
- Serve as the implementation manager for workstreams touching Banks and Visa which in themselves can range in complexity, and often require you manage multiple “sub-projects”.Â
- Strategize execution with the Banks: socialize and obtain alignment, co-design complex processes that require coordination with finance, product, engineering, etc., push through bottlenecks, and ensure Bank requirements are incorporated into the broader project plan.Â
- Collaborate with Chime’s Banking partners teams to ensure a cohesive engagement strategy.Â
- Communicate progress, value, and blockers to the wider business, including executive leadership.
To thrive in this role, you have
- 5+ years of broad payments and banking experience, preferably in a dynamic, high-growth environment.Â
- A solid range of relevant skills: good understanding of mapping processes and partnering with technical teams, enjoy dabbling in analytics and assessing the ROI of an effort, have a foundational understanding of the regulatory landscape and industry protocols (Visa rules, NACHA).Â
- Relevant experience leading large-scale projects in financial services: are detail oriented, can translate desired outcomes to tactical efforts, track progress, escalate as needed, and ensure timely execution.Â
- The ability to be the external face of your organization and develop personal relationships with critical partners, but are also able to negotiate and hold others accountable.Â
- Extremely strong communication skills: verbal and written.Â
- The ability to be practical, resourceful, and eager to collaborate/compromise to get to the best, most efficient outcome
