Job Description

Note: This is a fully remote position, open to candidates residing anywhere in the U.S. While not required, candidates located within driving distance of one of our nationwide offices are preferred.

Overview:

The Proposal Manager is responsible for guiding a project team in creating persuasive sales proposals that highlight company advantages. Further, the Proposal Manager will ensure that RFP responses are crafted to customer questions, and will coordinate with subject matter experts to ensure each document is both accurate and compelling. The following responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to: 

  • Coordinate sales proposals 

  • Analyze customer request for proposals (RFP) to understand requirements 

  • Identify opportunities and challenges in order to craft winning responses 

  • Coordinate team responsibilities, schedule meetings, and set timelines 

  • Organize content into a well-formatted, cohesive document 

  • Develop a variety of sales documents (e.g., letters, project justifications, etc.) 

  • Review competitor materials to regularly enhance sales deliverables 

  • Other duties as assigned by Management

  • Positive attitude with willingness to learn and collaborate 

Specific knowledge and skills: 

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred 

  • Preferably a background in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in persuasive writing 

  • Strong multi-tasking, organizational, and time management skills 

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, Google Suite, AI tools, familiarity with proposal generative tools (like Responsive)

Target Base Salary Range: $70,000 - $82,000 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.


Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of marketing, communications, writing, sales, proposal/project management or similar business experience

  • OR Associate's degree and 4+ years of marketing, communications, writing, sales, proposal/project management or similar business experience

  • OR 6+ years of marketing, communications, writing, sales, proposal/project management or similar business experience

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Please note that employer sponsorships for work permit is not available for this position.
