Position Summary

The position of Proposal Manager is a strategic yet hands-on role responsible for managing, writing, and updating pursuit content in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts to develop winning proposals that are compelling and differentiated. The role will support a variety of business units and ensure that all messaging and deliverables align with Sikich’s target markets while maintaining responsibility for managing pursuit team timelines and deliverables. This position requires a detail-oriented, well-organized individual who can work comfortably and collaboratively in a management and proposal development role and represent the Proposal Center of Excellence professionally and positively. The Proposal Manager will have responsibility for both strategic and daily functional tasks of document production and resource management and will work closely with the firm’s leaders and business development leads in pursuit needs.

What will you do in this role?

• Assist pursuit teams in identifying winning strategies through understanding the prospects’ needs and crafting messages and deliverables that differentiate Sikich.
• Review, edit, and produce compelling proposals with strong attention to detail, compliance, and formatting.
• Write, edit, and publish various proposals and RFx related responses and materials, and coordinate activities involved in the development and revision of proposals.
• Provide assistance in the creation and editing of proposal and pursuit materials as needed in the company. 
• Work with company stakeholders and/or clients to obtain needed information for proposals and other business documents.
• Meet strict deadlines as identified by principal requests and/or client needs.
• Participate in and project manage the proposal process for new business and existing clients from the opportunity stage to submission, including gathering information and seeking approvals.
• Effectively communicate verbally and in writing to ensure that internal guidelines and brand standards are met in all work products.
• Apply knowledge of business and offerings to develop compelling and grammatically correct content.
• Develop and maintain cataloging systems, records and files of proposals and other business documents.
• Collaborate effectively across teams in a virtual work environment.
• Maintain updated content in proposal repositories.
• Gather, analyze, and derive insights from research on prospects to ensure key win theme development.

What do you need to succeed in this role?

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, English, Communications, Journalism, Technical Writing.
• 5-7 years prior experience working as a pursuit content strategist or content marketing professional in the accounting, financial consulting, technology or business advisory industry, preferred.
• Strong background in business writing, pursuit content strategy, and understanding of AP and GPO style manuals.
• Experience with government and commercial proposal development processes, preferred
• Possess excellent verbal communication skills, executive presence, and ability to work with professionals at all levels across the organization.
• Strong team player who is comfortable working virtually and independently.
• Excellent organizational skills regarding project and time management
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word and PowerPoint)
• Adobe Suite knowledge, preferred

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the base compensation range for this role is (Min) $104,844 - (Mid) $144,307 - (Max) $183,770. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on several factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. Compensation ranges for roles in our Government Services pillar are determined by contract with the specific government agency Sikich is servicing.
