Opportunity Overview:

Cohere is looking for an individual experienced in provider customer service to act as a key point of contact for hospitals, clinics, physician offices and supply companies.  As a Provider Outreach Specialist you will expedite medical records requests and respond to provider inquiries with accuracy, timeliness, and a high level of professionalism. The representative works cross-functionally with audit operations teams to resolve issues, ensure compliance with policies, and support a positive customer experience. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a working knowledge of healthcare claims and payment integrity processes are essential for success in this role.

What you’ll do:

  • Conduct outbound and accept inbound calls with hospitals, clinics, physician offices and supply companies
  • Provide detailed and accurate documentation
  • Collaborate with additional teams to ensure clear communication and support in obtaining medical records for the payment integrity process

What you’ll need:

  • 2-3 years customer service experience in Healthcare, preferably in claims
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and medical records
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining high performance
  • Exceptional time management, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Commitment to teamwork, collaboration with internal teams, and continuous learning
  • Ability to accurately document call details
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to follow protocol and call scripts
  • Flexibility to change as company and client needs dictate
  • Completion of a Bachelor’s degree; 2+ years of experience preferred
  • Experience working in a start-up or high-growth company environment, demonstrating agility and adaptability
  • Familiarity with working with a diverse, global team of talent
  • Excellent computer skills and familiarity with a Mac

The salary range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr; as part of a total benefits package which includes health insurance, 401k and bonus. In accordance with state applicable laws, Cohere is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Individual pay decisions are ultimately based on a number of factors, including but not limited to qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and internal alignment.
