Summary : Provides technical support in the manufacturing of liquid drinks. Must be versatile and able to problem solve breakdowns in addition to being proactive with adequate preventative maintenance to avoid machine malfunction and unnecessary downtime. Works with all team members to meet production goals within operating budgets.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
1. Works with all departments to meet or surpass the plant's safety goals.
2. Follows all GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices).
3. Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.
4. Participates and provides input with the team during DDS (Daily Direction Setting) meetings.
5. Prioritizes and coordinates maintenance work to ensure maximum equipment uptime.
6. Troubleshoots through PLC's.
7. Ability to write program changes.
8. Proficient with AllenBradly and Batchview to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
9. Able to "remote access" programs and use Asset Center as needed.
10. Able to fix process issues.
11. Troubleshoots and calibrates I2P's.
12. Programs and replaces VFD's
13. Capable of retrieving and downloading programs into HMI's.
14. Performs troubleshooting and equipment repairs as needed to minimize downtime.
15. Installs/ repairs/ maintains all types of electrical and mechanical equipment including PLC's, wiring, motor starters, switches, motors, gearboxes, pumps, filters, actuators, valves, etc.
16. Reads and understands all types of blueprints and CAD drawings.
17. Operates power tools, hand tools, and electrical and instrument test equipment to install, maintain, and troubleshoot plant equipment.
18. Operates welders and torches to perform repairs.
19. Operates trade specific tools including but not limited to micrometers, calipers, and verniers.
20. Operates all types of machine shop equipment including drills, lathes, milling machines, grinders, and cut-off saws.
21. Performs all necessary documentation of work performed and any unusual conditions, or defective equipment with the highest accuracy possible in SAP.
22. Performs Food Quality PM's as assigned.
23. Implements ownership of tools and shop by maintaining good housekeeping and a clean and orderly work area.
24. Mentors and trains other Technicians and Apprentices in technical and leadership skills.
25. Performs other duties as assigned.
