Job Summary:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Publisher Support, our Publisher Support Manager will assist the Freestar team in a variety of functions, including, but not limited to, troubleshooting issues on publishers’ websites, enabling features or products, and assisting in trafficking direct ad campaigns. This position works closely with various departments and communicates regularly with Yield Managers, Customer Success Managers, Onboarding Specialists, Revenue Operations, and Publisher Support Engineers, all with the ultimate goal of increasing revenue for our publishers. Our ideal candidate is highly communicative, organized, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and able to prioritize accordingly while keeping a people-focused perspective and a collaborative, positive attitude at all times. 

Responsibilities:

Troubleshooting/Problem-solving

  • Ad quality concerns
  • New product implementation
  • New placement requests
  • Troubleshooting sites for data discrepancies or UX issues
  • New demand implementation (tag-based or otherwise)

Optimizations

  • Creating new placements
  • Removing and/or adding sizes to existing placements
  • Removing and/or adding network bidders
  • Adjusting refresh and timeout settings
  • Enabling new products

Trafficking (while there is a dedicated trafficking team, Support Managers may fill in as needed): 

  • Setting up direct-sold and PMP campaigns either sold by the publisher or by Freestar 
  • Providing screenshots and/or reports when requested
  • Providing avails for internal and external sales teams
  • Creative auditing 
  • Optimizing delivery to hit KPIs

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience in Ad Operations or Yield Management
  • General knowledge of PMPs, header-bidding, programmatic advertising, CRM software
  • Strong working knowledge of GAM, Excel, Google Products, direct-sold campaigns
  • A strong technical background and comfort with reading ad code, some CSS is a plus

  • Professional maturity, aptitude, and confidence 
  • Teamwork, interpersonal & relationship-building skills, with the ability to lead by influence and example
