Develop and maintain automated web application tests using Playwright and JavaScript, perform manual functional and regression testing, design test cases, manage defects, and integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines. Collaborate with Agile teams to improve test coverage, API testing, release reliability, and software quality across the SDLC.

About the JobAs a QA Automation Engineer at Aspire, you will combine your hands-on automation and manual testing experience to build and maintain reliable, high-quality software solutions. You will work across web application testing, automation frameworks, CI/CD, and API testing while collaborating with developers, product owners, and QA engineers to improve software quality and delivery.
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web applications.
- Perform manual functional, regression, and exploratory testing where automation is not the right fit.
- Design test cases and test scenarios based on requirements and user stories.
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing.
- Improve test coverage and maintain scalable, reliable automation frameworks.
- Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and Agile team discussions.
- Communicate testing progress, risks, defects, and quality concerns to relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with developers, Product Owners, and QA teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.

- Strong understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and defect management.
- Ability to analyze requirements and translate them into clear test scenarios.
- Strong JavaScript skills; TypeScript is a plus.
- Proficiency in Playwright is preferred.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.
- Basic experience with API testing using Postman or Playwright API testing.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams.
- Experience with Git and code reviews.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Knowledge of performance or accessibility testing is a plus.
- ISTQB or other relevant testing certification is a plus.
- Awareness and application of IT security best practices aligned with ISO / SOC standards.
