- Tier One Technologies is looking for a QA Customer Acceptance Tester (CAT) to support our direct US Government client.
- This contract-to-hire position will be located in Washington, DC.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- SELECTED CANDIDATES WITHOUT REQUIRED CLEARANCE WILL BE SUBJECT TO A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION TO RECEIVE IT.
- Collaborate with engineering groups to define, document, execute, analyze, and interpret tests for products, systems, components, and system modifications.
- Develop Software Requirements Specification (SRS) documents to support functional requirements impacting technical file specifications, including Mail.DAT and Mail.XML.
- Manage, update, and maintain all supported technical specifications and guides, and develop new documentation as needed to support new or enhanced system functionality.
- Perform Customer Acceptance Testing (CAT), including reviewing Technical Requirement Documents (TRDs), developing and updating test scripts, conducting production validation through smoke and functional testing, documenting test results, and providing required testing artifacts, TLSC documentation, and Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs).
- Provide subject matter expertise and participate in mail industry meetings and forums, including Mailer Technical Advisory Committee (MTAC) workgroups, task groups, and user groups.
- Develop performance metrics to track, measure, and report the status and progress of Customer Acceptance Testing activities.
- Develop and execute automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency, coverage, and repeatability.
- Develop training materials, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and technical guides for impacted CPPP applications.
- Participate in final system integration and validation activities to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve functional issues.
- Define and maintain internal quality control standards and reliability programs to ensure consistent system performance and testing quality.
- Create, document, and analyze complex test cases and provide feedback and recommendations for product enhancements and design changes.
- Ensure testing processes and procedures comply with applicable industry standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify chronic and systemic testing issues and develop and implement process improvements to enhance testing effectiveness and overall quality.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers as needed to modify or develop testing procedures for system components and related products.
- Lead and contribute to advanced, complex technical projects and business initiatives requiring current technical expertise and in-depth industry knowledge.
- A degree from an accredited College/University in the applicable field of services is preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in software quality assurance, quality control, software development, or a related field.
- Proven experience eliciting, analyzing, documenting, and validating business processes and requirements.
- Experience developing and executing manual and automated test scripts, performing Customer Acceptance Testing (CAT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), documenting test results, and delivering comprehensive test artifacts.
- Experience performing production validation, including smoke, regression, and functional testing, while documenting test results and providing supporting test artifacts.
- Hands-on experience working with structured and semi-structured data files and formats, including CSV, XML, and JSON, as well as relational databases.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 tools, including Excel, Word, Project, Visio, Access, and Workflow.
- Hands-on experience with scripting and query languages, including SQL, Java, and Python (preferred).
- Experience performing API testing using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar API testing platforms.
- Experience with software test management and execution within Agile and/or Waterfall development methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience with automated testing tools and technologies leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) or similar advanced capabilities.
- Prior experience working with Mail.DAT and Mail.XML is highly desirable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain Public Trust Clearance.
- Must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years.
- Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last 5 years. Military Service excluded.
