Why this role exists:

The purpose of this role is to ensure the quality, stability, and reliability of products through comprehensive manual testing across complex systems. You'll help deliver high-quality releases by owning manual testing activities, improving QA processes, and partnering closely with engineering and product teams to identify issues before they reach production.

What you’ll drive:

Test execution & quality assurance

  • Create, maintain, and execute detailed test cases and test scenarios.

  • Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and user acceptance testing.

  • Validate software against functional and non-functional requirements.

  • Verify bug fixes and ensure high-quality releases.

  • Support performance and load testing activities where required.

Defect management

  • Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects.

  • Investigate issues and provide clear reproduction steps.

  • Work closely with developers to resolve defects efficiently.

  • Analyze recurring issues and recommend preventive improvements.

Collaboration & delivery

  • Partner with developers, Product Managers, and other stakeholders throughout the SDLC.

  • Contribute to test planning and ensure comprehensive test coverage.

  • Communicate testing progress, risks, and quality metrics clearly.

  • Support release readiness by validating critical functionality.

Process improvement

  • Improve testing documentation, QA processes, and testing methodologies.

  • Contribute to the development of reusable test scenarios and frameworks.

  • Help increase testing efficiency through better tooling and automation collaboration.

  • Share knowledge and support junior QA engineers in their professional growth.

What makes you a GR8 fit:

Must-have

  • 3+ years of experience in Manual QA or Software Testing within the FinTech domain.

  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC.

  • Experience with functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.

  • Experience working with bug tracking and test management tools.

  • Good understanding of relational databases and ability to write SQL queries.

  • Experience testing web applications and APIs.

  • Familiarity with Git and modern development workflows.

  • Understanding of client-server architecture, REST APIs, and distributed systems.

  • Upper-Intermediate English or higher, with fluency in Ukrainian or Russian.

Nice-to-have

  • Experience testing mobile applications (iOS and Android).

  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments.

  • Basic knowledge of automation testing tools and scripting.

  • Understanding of microservices architecture and event-driven systems.

  • Experience in high-load or product-based environments.
