As a QA Manager Sr within PNC’s C&IB organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA or Dallas, TX.
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced QA Manager Sr to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of quality assurance and testing initiatives across multiple strategic software delivery projects. The ideal candidate will combine a deep understanding of software quality practices with strong leadership and project delivery skills. The candidate will be responsible for managing QE teams aligning with development and product teams, ensuring quality gates are met and driving the delivery of high-quality software products on time and within scope.
Key Responsibilities:
•  QE Leadership:
o  Experienced QA Manager with Automation Experience. Adhere to Quality Engineering strategies and best practices
o  Manage QE Leads and teams across projects to ensure consistent, high quality software delivery
o  Champion automation, continuous testing and shift-left testing methodologies
•  Project & Delivery Management
o  Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Product, Development, Dev-ops, etc.) to define test plans and delivery schedules.
o  Track QE deliverables, KPI’s and defect metrics, report progress to Executives and leaders
o  Identify and mitigate delivery risks related to quality and testing timelines.
o  Ensure the accuracy and completeness of testing documentation as part of Change Management processes, collaborating with QE and project teams to support successful implementation and compliance with the standards.
•  Team & Resource Management:
o  Hire, mentor and coach QE professionals to build high-performing, motivated teams
o  Allocate resources effectively across concurrent projects
o  Foster a culture of continuous improvement, learning, and innovation.
•  Process optimization
o  Drive improvements in test automation frameworks, CI/CD integration, and release process (Test Artifact reviews)
o  Ensure compliance with internal QA standards and external regulatory requirements where applicable.
•  Stakeholder Communication
o  Be the primary point of contact for quality engineering within delivery teams
o  Provide clear, concise communication to executives and stakeholders regarding testing outcomes, risks, and mitigation strategies.

  • Oversees all QA activities and processes for a major or multiple software products or systems.
  • Ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company, industry, and regulatory standards.
  • Investigates problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. Provides feedback and input for software development standards and practices.
  • Leads implementation, control, and distribution of all Quality Assurance programs, practices, standards, methodologies, and metrics. Reviews results of major and final tests to determine if product specifications are met in line with requirements and standards.
  • Oversees performance of managers and teams. Identifies and addresses staff training and development needs.
