Assists the Contract Compliance Manager by auditing participant files, conducting quality assurance reviews, monitoring program procedures, preparing reports, verifying documentation, scheduling site visits, and confirming providers properly document billed services. The role requires strong organization, attention to detail, documentation skills, confidentiality, and sensitivity to populations served. Work is primarily office-based in a rehabilitation facility with required regional travel.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Person in this position will be responsible for assisting the Contract Compliance Manager in the performance of all listed QA duties. Essential Job Functions include those listed below.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Audits all active participant files to ensure all files are complete according to WestCare guidelines.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews of participant files.
- Attend staff meetings, training and in-service as assigned by supervisor and/or as required by the agency.
- Monitor the systems, procedures, and standards of the programs, informing the appropriate party when deviations occur.
- Develop concise and timely reports, as necessary.
- Ensure acquisition of necessary and accurate documentation prior to entering information into the data system.
- Managing the scheduling of all site visits for CBPs and annual quality assurance reviews and participant file reviews
- Follow up that providers are properly documenting the services for which they are billing WestCare.
- Must Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision, and goals of WestCare Foundation; and
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Experience and Competencies:
- Experience working in case management, or similar experience, preferably in a social service setting is preferred.
- Excellent language and interpersonal skills.
- Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills and good documentation skills.
- Must have the ability to pass a criminal history Adherence to the highest standard of ethical conduct, especially to standards governing confidentiality.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Must be sensitive to populations served.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain and maintain WestCare’s vehicle insurance is required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain CDCR Clearance.
- CPR Certification, First Aid Certification, and an annual Tuberculosis test.
- During your tenure with WestCare there may be new requirements, including, but not limited to vaccinations that are issued by local, State, Federal, and/or Funders that WestCare may have to comply with. Should this occur Human Resources or appropriate personnel will inform you.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Experience working in case management, or similar experience, preferably in a social service setting is preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college with a degree in Addiction Counseling, Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is preferred.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
- Not applicable for this position.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Work is performed primarily in an office setting located in a rehabilitation facility; and
- Regional travel is required.
