Position Summary

Dhaka Technologies Limited Company is hiring experienced Quality Assurance Testers and Test Leads on behalf of a client, a California county government, for as-needed testing assignments. The QA Tester makes sure that a software platform, its configurations, and its customizations work correctly and meet business requirements before they reach production. Assignments cover the planning, implementation, integration, enhancement, and maintenance of software-as-a-service (SaaS) and other enterprise systems, with Salesforce as a primary platform, along with other county applications that need structured testing. QA Testers work with county subject matter experts, vendor developers and testers, business and systems analysts, and project managers, and lead or augment county project teams. Assignments are issued as projects arise, and the client approves each tester for each assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Work with county staff, vendor staff, and stakeholders to understand business requirements, user stories, and technical specifications, and translate them into detailed test cases.
  • Develop test strategies, test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test data, and execute test cases for all functionality, features, and bug fixes within the release timeline.
  • Perform manual functional, regression, integration, system, user acceptance, accessibility, security, and performance testing, and use test automation where appropriate.
  • Identify, document, track, and report defects in the bug tracking system, work with vendor QA testers to get defects resolved, and verify fixes.
  • Validate platform configurations, including custom objects, fields, layouts, flows, validation rules, and permission sets, and validate custom Apex code against requirements.
  • Test integrations and data exchange between systems through REST APIs using tools such as Postman.
  • Verify data integrity and accuracy during data migration, conversion, and routine operations using Data Loader and SOQL or SQL queries.
  • Coordinate testing activities among county staff, vendors, and other stakeholders, and support county users during integration testing and user acceptance testing.
  • Provide testing status updates, defect reports, test results, and recommendations to project managers and county stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • At least twelve years of quality assurance and software testing experience, including in-depth knowledge of testing methodologies.
  • Experience testing Salesforce implementations, including configurations, customizations, flows, permission sets, and Apex code.
  • Experience testing enterprise, SaaS, or complex business system implementations, including system integrations and data migration or conversion.
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum delivery and with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, and with API testing tools such as Postman.
  • Working knowledge of SOQL or SQL for data validation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills with close attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for working with business users, analysts, developers, vendors, and project managers.
  • Ability to work onsite in Redwood City, CA when an assignment requires it.
  • Must currently reside in the United States. Visa sponsorship is available for qualified candidates.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce Administrator or Platform App Builder certification, ISTQB certification, or a comparable testing credential.
  • Experience testing for a California city or county government, or another state or local government agency.
  • Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Provar, or Copado Robotic Testing, and with accessibility testing against WCAG standards.
  • Experience leading a test team or serving as test lead on a public sector system implementation.

Compensation

$45 to $55 per hour on a C2C, W-2, or 1099 basis, based on experience. Hours and duration depend on each assignment.
