As a Vice President in Investment Banking, you will lead client relationships, manage banking products transactions, and guide junior bankers to execute deals effectively.

What you will do

You will be responsible for the management of the quality team at our P4 and P6 manufacturing plants, overseeing direct examination of product to ensure that quality standards and procedures are met and aligned with legislation, applicable code, and customer specifications. Requiring a high level of attention to detail and technical expertise, you will ensure strict adherence to Johnson Controls’ quality assurance policies, and you will also be responsible for training inspectors, assembly workers, and trades in quality control (QC) procedures, improvements, root cause analysis, and continuing improvement.

How you will do it

· Develop annual quality program along with targets and performance indicators needed to achieve goals in alignment with PBU Quality owner.

· Directly manage quality supervisors, quality specialists, quality coordinators, and quality auditors.

· Ensure that:

o Product integrity and quality is being always upheld to QMS

o Processes and final inspections are being completed on time and paperwork is filled out.

o Inspectors are managing their time appropriately.

o Quality/safety/production (operations) are working together as a cohesive team.

o Quality manpower coverage in terms of production shift needs is satiated.

· Lead and mentor all staff in root cause analysis techniques.

· Drive quality-related projects and associated actions to closure across the departments.

· Oversee staffing of quality department.

· Measure and report on all quality metrics for the site.

· Analysis of quality reports reviewing common/reoccurring deficiencies and ensuring effective communication flowing downwards to all plant employees.

· Assist in the writing of SOPs.

· Tracking of scrap and rework internal to the manufacturing plant.

· Effectively promote and improve the quality program for the site via training and growth of personnel and implementation of quality best practices

· Manage the NCR process and comply/refine incoming inspection processes for goods entering the plant from vendors/vendor scorecard development.

· Perform internal audits to ensure conformity of ISO program.

· Promote and advocate quality achievement and performance improvement across the organization.

· Organize all inspection documentation papers and online photos provided by inspectors.

· Maintain ETL documentation.

· Develop and execution of a training program for QC Personnel, ensuring adherence to safety and maintenance of accurate training records.

· Provide feedback to management on process improvement.

· Work closely with engineering to ensure adherence to client specifications and requirements.

· Update customer files as needed if there is a change in the products and/or service needed.

· Able to delegate multiple tasks while ensuring that they are completed to the highest level of quality needed.

· Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing to determine root cause and take action on results to ensure continuous product performance.

· Other duties as required.

What we look for

Required:

· Post-secondary degree in a related field (Engineering, Business, etc.)

· 10+ years of hands-on experience in Quality Management

· At least 5+ years of managing people and teams

· Extensive experience in Corrective/Preventive Action investigation, verification, and closure

· Experience in ISO 9001:2015 audits and overall quality management system

· Strong customer service orientation

· Must be a highly motivated self-starter who can fully complete tasks with minimal supervision

· Strong knowledge of general office procedures and Microsoft Office products

· Ability to apply instruction in written, verbal or diagram form

· Strong interpersonal skills

· Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization and its executive team

Preferred:

· Post-secondary degree with an engineering focus

· Formal training and certification on root cause analysis, Six Sigma and / or internal auditing
