What You’ll Do
This position works alongside the engineering team and individually to assist in projects focused on new neurovascular product development. Responsibilities may include the following
- Interact with engineers to understand engineering requirements.
- Participate in the design and development of test methods and clinical test beds
- Understanding and translation of clinically relevant anatomical conditions.
- Conduct preclinical bench testing - record and interpret results.
- Understanding of basic mechanical equipment (pumps, flow restrictors, pressure regulators) for fluid management systems
- White paper conceptualization and prototyping of first-generation concepts
What You’ll Bring
- Minimum of 2 years of college-level coursework in an engineering discipline & a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Familiar with R&D test equipment used for testing (such as Instron tensile tester, Keyence)
- Able to use SolidWorks for drawing and designing tooling, fixtures, devices and related items
- Knowledge of materials (Polymers, Metals, Chemicals) as related to medical devices
- Familiarity with CAD, machining, and rapid prototyping tools a plus tensile, simulated use, or other test methods related to the project
- Strong organizational skills: management of multiple priorities and timing
- Good interpersonal skills, effective communication, and partnership with R&D and other departments
