Beet Receiving Station-Seasonal Laborer

Amalgamated Sugar Company – Grandview, Idaho and Bruneau, Idaho

Amalgamated Sugar Company is hiring seasonal workers for beet receiving stations. These six- to eight-week positions can lead to long-term factory careers. Assignments may include Receiving Station Crew, Piler Operator, Tare Sample, Field Loader Crew, and Scale House. Duties may include checking beet quality, tracking samples on a tablet, printing beet bag tickets, collecting sugar beet samples, and weighing inbound/outbound trucks. Positions start in mid-September, with later start dates available. Overtime opportunities are available. Pay starts at $17.93/hr.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Must be available and willing to work weekends and holidays.
  • Climb stairs and ladders.
  • Work in outdoor weather conditions both hot and cold.
  • Read and comprehend written instructions including safety procedures, safety signs.
  • Must be able to perform entry level tasks with basic hand tools
  • Perform general cleaning operations.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age.

Job Types: Temporary, Seasonal, In-Person

Pay: From $17.93 to $26.77 per hour

Schedule:

  • 12+ hour shifts
  • Holidays and weekends as needed
  • OT after 40 hours
