Job Description

RECEPTIONIST:  

Temporary, hourly, and part-time status: 10:00 am to 2:30 pm daily

 

First point of contact for all visitors.  Must be presentable, personable and pleasant.  Receives and directs all visitors to appropriate locations and parties.  Must have ability to discern cold calls or screen phone calls to minimize unnecessary sales calls. 

 

Job responsibilities:

 

  • Typically operates a single or multiple position telephone system.
  • Maintains a visitors' log and issues badges when necessary.
  • Notifies personnel of visitor arrival.
  • May perform related clerical work such as word processing.
  • May use company intranet, paging or other computer­ based systems. 
  • Responsible for sorting and distributing incoming mail, updating boards and forms in the mailroom. 
  • Assists other departments with clerical tasks while at the front desk. 
  • Maintains phone lists for local and out of area offices. 
  • Additional duties may include filing, and completing special projects for other offices.
  • Performs other clerical tasks in other departments (when not covering the front desk). 

 

Requirements: 

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent,
  • Experienced with Microsoft office products, ability to learn new applications quickly. 
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, accurate and punctual a must.
